His Majesty's Attentive Eunuch

[Gentle, scheming beauty top x obedient, sweet, adorable bottom; a sweet little story]

[Emperor top x eunuch bottom]

The current emperor ascended the throne at a young age. Brilliant and exceptionally handsome, he had only two faults: he did whatever he pleased, and his instructions were impossible to interpret.

Take his daily meals, for instance:

In the morning, he liked sweet tofu pudding; in the evening, he preferred it savory.

Yesterday, he only wanted egg yolks; today, he preferred duck egg whites.

Before bed, his tea had to be warm, about seven-tenths hot; after waking, he wanted it cooler, about five-tenths hot.

If an attendant asked, "Your Majesty, how hot would you like your tea now?"

His Majesty would only reply gently, "Use your judgment."

Everyone who served at court was constantly at their wits' end, except Yuanning.

Yuanning had served His Majesty since childhood. He had watched him go from a prince in his private residence to the emperor on the throne, and knew His Majesty's unfathomable whims inside and out.

He knew exactly what tea to serve and when.

All it took was a glance from His Majesty. From food and daily comforts to receiving guests and seeing them off, from official documents and memorials to making the bed and warming it, Yuanning handled everything perfectly. He was the most trusted and favored attendant at the emperor's side.

Yuanning had thought he would keep enjoying such favor forever, until one day he could no longer understand the way His Majesty looked at him or figure out how His Majesty felt about him.

Was he about to lose His Majesty's favor?

Yuanning was horrified.

Note:

1. The bottom is a real eunuch, the top is a real emperor, and there is no harem.

2. A sweet story about healing. The memories are bittersweet, and food and cats make appearances.

3. Haven't thought of anything else yet, so here's a line to fill the space.
