Kitano Shiori is a hardcore spender in romance games, and lately her favorite has been a game called Ninja Warring States Arc. Despite its name making it sound like a fighting game, and despite its mechanics being full of activities that require fighting to earn resources, the men she could pursue in it made her heart race.
She was devoted exclusively to the man called Uchiha Izuna. She never skipped an event or passed up an item, and in just a few months she had raised their affection level to the maximum.
Then, on an ordinary Sunday, just as she was about to go back to sleep, she opened her eyes and realized she had transmigrated into the game she was playing.
This was a game, and yet it wasn't a game.
There were familiar ninja systems, familiar names for ninjutsu, and familiar missions.
But this was a real world.
It was backward, ignorant, desolate, and full of bloodshed and killing.
On her first day here, she broke down and wanted to go home.
But she couldn't go back.
To live here with dignity, she had to pick up her blade and truly become a ninja. After her hands were stained with blood, the only thing keeping her going was the man she had once loved.
She knew he wasn't the paper character from the game.
She knew there would be many ways he differed from the person she had imagined.
But when he stood before her, he looked almost exactly as if he had stepped out of her phone. His familiar little habits, his familiar likes and dislikes.
When he didn't know it, she had learned about every event in his life as he grew up.
She was the person who understood him best in the world.
She couldn't help falling in love with him.
She became stronger.
She worked harder to earn merit.
She tried harder to show off her talent.
All so she could make it to his side.
Finally, one day, her clan asked her, "Would you be willing to become Uchiha Izuna's wife?"
Kitano Shiori agreed, overjoyed.
Her married life wasn't what she had imagined. He treated her well, but there was always a distance between them. She tried to create happy memories with him, and their relationship seemed to be improving. Maybe they only needed a little more time before they would truly become as sweet together as they had been in the game.
That was what she thought, so optimistically.
Then, just a few days later, her husband was brought back to the clan, gravely injured. After giving his eyes to his older brother, he closed his own.
He hadn't even said a single word to her.
Kitano Shiori went mad.
She stabbed Uchiha Madara.
Then, clutching Izuna's body, she blew herself up in a blaze of glory.
When she woke again, she found herself back at the time she had first arrived in this world. But this time, when she opened her eyes, she saw Izuna, whom she had once raised on her phone, sitting beside her and reaching out in concern to touch her forehead.
"Xiao Li?"
Her in-game name was Happy Pear.
Her nickname was Xiao Li.
Only he, in that game, had ever called her that.
After sitting there in a daze for a while, Kitano Shiori suddenly burst into tears.
Later, when the clan elders appeared again and asked if she wanted to marry Izuna, she refused.

On the battlefield, the Senju received the worst news of the year.
Two Uchiha had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan within a single year. Add that damned Uchiha Madara, and they now had three Mangekyo users.
But at least they had heard that the Uchiha kunoichi had a serious mental illness.
She often smiled at the empty space beside her and publicly claimed she was married.
And whenever the Uchiha's second-in-command faced her, he would inexplicably feel guilty and have no idea what to say.

After hearing that both of the Mangekyo users next door were married, Senju Hashirama cheerfully ran over to gossip. Then he found out that the two single men hit harder than the other, and when they couldn't beat him alone, they teamed up to beat him.
Senju Hashirama: "?"
He covered his swollen head with a bandage and went to cry to Tenkei.
After hearing what had happened, Tenkei was overjoyed.
He arranged for Hashirama to come by every few days.
He absolutely had to get the two of them to team up and beat him.
Once the plan worked, Hashirama could play matchmaker.
Senju Hashirama: "????"
