A Mine Owner's Daily Life on the Grand Line

Carol Sifalanca is the only daughter of the biggest mining magnate in the fairy-tale world, and controls 80% of the world's mines.

Young Carol, her face still babyish, asks her father in a tiny, lisping voice, "Daddy, why do we have so many mines?"

The man smiles kindly and gently answers his daughter, "A lot of them were inherited. The rest were given to me by people who thought I was impressive."

Dragons and people once beaten black and blue by the man sneeze in unison.

But after Carol turns ten, her father disappears. As the sole heir, she begins managing the family mines. She has no idea where her father went.

By inheriting her family's mines, Carol becomes a tycoon in the fairy-tale world.

As someone with the power of money, Carol's motto is: If money can solve a problem, it's not a problem. If money can't solve it, then you don't have enough money.

After she comes of age, a great wizard finds her and tells her she must go manage and inherit mines in another world. So she heads to the world of One Piece.

She calmly accepts the task and sets off to build her business in an unfamiliar world.

Carol used to think she was pretty unpopular, but then she realizes that people actually like her quite a lot. That must be the power of money. The power of money really is pretty great. (Rubs chin in thought.)

Bonus Scene One

"You, redhead! Hurry up and leave. Stop hanging around in front of me." Carol dismisses Shanks without changing expression, her disdain plain to see.

"Oh my, don't be so hot-tempered, little girl," Shanks teases, rubbing his head.

Bonus Scene Two

Carol meets Buggy, who also loves jewels and hates Shanks. They hit it off at once, their eyes sparkling as they declare themselves brothers.

"Don't worry, Buggy. I'll give you any pretty gems I find. For now, take this as a welcome gift." Carol produces a sparkling crown, set with a large blue gem the same color as Buggy's hair.

Buggy grins so widely his mouth looks ready to split. "Hahahaha! Carol, from now on, I'll protect you out at sea!"

Bonus Scene Three

Aokiji is riding his bicycle across the sea when he spots Carol rowing a little boat.

He stops and says, "Oh my, hello there, young lady. Fancy meeting you again. Remember to contact me next time you have ore for sale."

Carol studies him for a moment, then says, "Three billion berries a year. How about leaving the pirates and joining us?"

"Oh my, you're talking nonsense again, young lady. But that's a tempting offer. I just have no plans to leave the Marines for now."
