[My Hisoka novel next door is now underway: "I Was Scammed by an Enhancement-Type User"]

I could have fulfilled my mother's dying wish as soon as I graduated from college, but my graduation project was stolen :)

Beware of the Spider boss who takes everything he can get, the perverted magician who cheats and swindles, and the famous assassin who never listens to anyone.

-

At first, all she wanted was to "have" him.

If the yearning for love can never be satisfied, it will probably become twisted by overwhelming desire.

Chrollo simply thought that if she couldn't love him deeply, then becoming the person she hated most in the world would be just as good.

-

Lancy Klein, a soon-to-graduate jewelry design student at Esaville University of the Arts, only needed to pass the review after her exhibition to receive her diploma. But on the day the exhibition opened, she learned that every piece on display had been stolen, and her graduation project had vanished as well.

The head of the Spider thieves, why is it you again? :)

So the things she had made this year were all stolen by the same person.

Chrollo: .

He had no idea how Lancy's graduation project had ended up in a national jewelry exhibition.

A bloodstained villain leads her out of the mire of endless guilt and grief, yet wants to fall into hell alongside her.

*The heroine is cautious and avoidant, with a touch of misanthropy hidden beneath her humor.

My completed novel next door, "The Phantom Troupe's Call Transfer," features a Shalnark pairing. Visit my profile:

Blurb:

Shalnark accidentally discovered traces of his childhood friend, whose life or death had long been unknown.

It was an application to change a citizen's personal information. The name Ruby Sterling was written on it, but the face in the photo looked somewhat unfamiliar.

Ever since awakening to Nen at a young age, his childhood friend had been the most notorious little troublemaker in Meteor City. She bossed the children of Meteor City around, always either picking fights or playing pranks.

Fortunately, she left Meteor City early and joined the mafia. After that, all news of her ceased.

So who was this person who had filed to update her citizen information, had the same name as his childhood friend, but a different face?

-

Question: Your underling gets a new boss ten years later. What would you, as his former boss, do?

Wish him well? Part on good terms? Or never speak to him again?

Ruby had never been so kindhearted. What would she do? Obviously, get rid of his current boss. What? What kind of organization was the Phantom Troupe? Stealing her underling meant they looked down on her. That was unforgivable, and they could wait to die.

Then she discovered that the childhood friends she used to chase around and beat up had all grown into powerful Nen users and villains.

In this organization known as the Spider, her underling was even the second-in-command and the group's strategist.

So what?

"The name is so edgy, and the rules are even weirder. There's no legal proof you're an organization, so you're just a bunch of unemployed people! Shalnark, you... Mmph."

Shalnark could only cover his childhood friend's mouth as she babbled on, sighing that they had been apart for far too long, so long that he had almost forgotten Ruby's nasty nature.

She had knocked out his teeth, removed an essential part from Phinks' motorcycle, ambushed Uvogin and framed Franklin, cut Machi's hair, chopped a weapon Feitan had found in half and then pretended to put it back together, stolen Chrollo's share of the food, pulled the wires out of the church...

Compared with all that, Ruby's mouth was still what got her into the most trouble.

As a child, Shalnark had been completely helpless against her.

But things were different now.

-

Her underling, who had always done whatever she said, still looked just as friendly, clever, and emotionally stable as before... but she had a feeling that Shalnark was secretly doing something bad behind her back.

Shalnark argued that the Phantom Troupe committed arson, murder, and robbery openly, not secretly.

No, she meant that Shalnark seemed to be deliberately ruining her plans.

After all, he had a history of doing that.
