*Blurb for this novel:
[Cheerful, sweet preschool teacher x refined but wicked university professor]
[Reunion after years apart | Both virgins | HE | A toxic man still wants to cling to her | Pure, sweet fluff]
Tao Xi isn't particularly good at any of the four arts, but after graduating, she lands a job looking after children at a private kindergarten. Everyone affectionately calls her Teacher Taotao.
Song Yanqiu, the youngest associate professor in the History Department at Lin'an University, is forced to look after his sister's child. On his very first day in charge, he's called in by the school.
A clean, tidy office. A mischievous nephew who won't admit he's done anything wrong. The terrifying father of a child who got beaten up.
He turns and calls his sister. "Come get your son. I can't handle him."
As soon as he finishes speaking, he looks up and sees a familiar face.
The world around them falls silent, not a sound to be heard. She appears before him, looking just as she does in his memories.
Song Yanqiu turns slightly and changes his mind. "Never mind. I can handle him."
Little scene 1:
Song Muyun is puzzled. Lately, Song Yanqiu keeps volunteering to pick up her child after school.
One day, she skips work and picks up her child early from kindergarten. She buys fried chicken and cola, then gently coaxes him. "A-Ming, why do you always ask your uncle to pick you up?"
Qin Yuming, his mouth greasy from eating, takes a big gulp of cola and answers earnestly, "Because Uncle wants to go see Teacher Taotao. Didn't you know, Mom?"
???
Little scene 2:
During home-visit month, Tao Xi goes from house to house with the assistant head teacher and the childcare worker.
When their car stops outside Song Yanqiu's home, Qin Yuming waits eagerly. The moment he sees Tao Xi, he runs toward her with his arms spread wide. "Unc..."
Halfway through the word, after running a little way, he realizes something's wrong. "Teacher Taotao!"

Blurb:
[Steady, powerful Beijing big shot x gentle, clear-headed red rose]
Contract relationship | Age gap | Old flames rekindled | Powerful man lowers his head
Zhouhai City welcomes its heaviest snowfall in nearly a decade.
Jiang Qingyu leaves the newspaper office where she's interning and waits an hour at the bus stop without seeing a single bus. Instead, a discreet black sedan pulls up. The rear window rolls down, revealing a man with an elegant, distinguished air and a clear, distant gaze.
She stares for a moment. "Mr. Liang."
Liang Yiheng's deep gaze settles on her. His voice is low and unhurried. "Would you like to get in my car?"
From the very first day Jiang Qingyu meets Liang Yiheng, she knows there is a huge gap between them.
His family is powerful and influential. A twitch of his finger could turn the capital upside down, while she's just an ordinary person.
At their fourth meeting, he hands her a contract and asks calmly, "Miss Jiang, would you like to make a deal?"
At the time, she is mired in trouble. Her mother's illness and the overdue bills are the last straws pushing her to the brink.
She agrees, asking for only one thing: "I want to work at the Jingzhou Times."
He raises an eyebrow, his tone casual. "All right."
Three days into their relationship, he spends a fortune, replacing everything she uses.
He never hesitates to spend money on her. If she so much as glances at a piece of jewelry in a magazine, it will be waiting on her desk the next day.
A mansion in the suburbs of the capital, a million in savings: she doesn't even have to ask before he offers them, without blinking.
She knows it's a transaction, and that every priceless gift comes with its own calculations. But her feelings spread through her heart like creeping vines, wrapping around it before she even realizes.
Later, their contract expires.
To keep her, he uses her mother's life to threaten her.
The bedroom is dimly lit. A red handprint marks his face. "Liang Yiheng, I hate you."
A mocking smile tugs at his lips, his features indistinct in the dim light.
He says, "You win, Jiang Qingyu."
They meet again on the coast of Zhouhai, beneath a blue, dreamlike sky. They talk about everything under the sun, as if they have only just met.
She thought they'd both moved on, but he suddenly leans closer, his hot breath brushing her neck. His voice is low and seductive. "Jiang Qingyu, could you love me just once?"
She steps back, lowering her lashes. "Sorry, I have a boyfriend."
He ignores her attempt to pull away and traps her in the corner of the bench. "Have you ever watched a soccer match?"
"Having a goalkeeper on the field doesn't mean you can't score."
A few days later, he meets that "goalkeeper."
Jiang Qingyu walks into a bridal shop with the man on her arm. The people around them praise how well they suit each other, a perfect match of beauty and talent.
Liang Yiheng looks at them. Beneath his steady, reserved exterior, he is thrown into confusion for one panicked second.
He finds a way to trap her in a fitting room. Faced with her cold words, he loses his usual composure.
His lips crush against hers, forcing tears from her eyes, but in the end he gets a resounding slap.
He wipes the blood from the corner of his mouth. His eyes red, his voice hoarse, he says, "Jiang Qingyu, look at me. Please?"
[Little scene]
After Jiang Qingyu leaves, Liang Yiheng forbids anyone from setting foot in the villa where they once lived. Her room becomes a forbidden place.
He often spends the entire day there, not eating or drinking, and refusing to answer anyone's calls.
The sachet she left behind becomes his only keepsake. He hangs it in his wardrobe so his clothes will take on her scent.
He sleeps in the bed they once shared, holding her pajamas as if she had never left.
"Is love a sin?"
"Worse than a sin. It's a mistake."
Love Disguised as a Monologue
[Reader's guide]
1. The hero seems old-fashioned and abstinent, but not when it comes to the heroine.
2. HE! Both are virgins and each other's first love! Six-year age gap, with the hero older. Bittersweet romance. The hero isn't trash, and he doesn't harm the heroine's mother.
3. The "goalkeeper" line comes from the internet.
4. Set in a fictional world, with lots of original worldbuilding. Don't apply it to real life. Love rationally!
