Laid-back but incredibly capable top x wealthy, stubborn bottom
Folk exorcist x successful rich second-generation heir
A story about someone who goes to exorcise a ghost, only to get himself caught up in it.
Ji Siqi unexpectedly receives a property transfer agreement from his great-grandfather. It comes with two conditions: First, the villa cannot be resold. Second, starting from the date the agreement takes effect, he must live in the villa for a full month.
He can accept the first condition. It's not like he's short on money. But what does the second one mean?
Later, Ji Siqi moves into the villa. Everything is normal during the day, but once night falls, all kinds of strange things happen. At exactly midnight, the entire villa suddenly loses power. During the blackout, someone cries, and a dark shadow keeps flashing past the windows before finally vanishing on the balcony...
His assistant uses every connection he has to find a folk exorcist, but apparently this master comes and goes without a trace. Finding him is a matter of luck, and whether he'll agree to come out is another question.
Just as the assistant is at his wit's end, the villa's doorbell rings. He hurries over to open the door. A tall, nonchalant man is leaning against it, a lollipop in his mouth. He asks, "Are you the ones who need a ghost exorcised?"
"Yes. Are you the exorcist?"
The man strolls inside of his own accord and looks around. Finally, he stops in front of Ji Siqi and sizes him up through his sunglasses.
Ji Siqi hates being treated so rudely. Frowning at the unserious man in front of him, he thinks, Him? An exorcist? These days, any Tom, Dick, or Harry can call himself a master.
As if he can read minds, the man chuckles and says, "If you don't believe me, I'll show you what I can do tonight."
