Huaxi Village is known as a paradise on earth.
Chi Hu, courtesy name Yuhuang, was the most esteemed princess in Huaxi Village and heir to the throne. But she was born rebellious, with a proud and unruly temperament.
At six, she defied royal rules and was banished to Wild Camel Ridge. She survived against all odds and returned;
At nine, she openly rebelled against the royal family and lived alone in a wilderness treehouse, dressed in rags and eating plain food. She endured the abuse without flinching;
At eighteen, she betrayed her ancestors' teachings, abandoned tens of thousands of subjects, and fled her betrothal, soaring over towering mountains on a wooden kite.
But fate had other plans. She escaped Huaxi Village, only to end up marrying her betrothed, Xu Jihuai, by sheer coincidence.
The "Jade-Faced Prince" Xu Jihuai was elegant and handsome, gentle as jade. He had no great love in life except for his wife, whom he adored above all else.
Yuhuang had found a good husband and ought to have cherished him. Yet after three years of marriage, she caused a scene at court and insisted on writing a divorce letter, repudiating her husband in public.
Humiliated, the prince underwent a drastic change in temperament, raised an army in rebellion, and turned the world upside down.
From then on, whenever people cursed a faithless woman, they would say, "Like Yuhuang."
