[Older woman-younger man romance / Radiant, gorgeous researcher x Younger experimental subject who is decisive and ruthless but very good at acting obedient and pleading sweetly]
The experimental subject comes in two versions: a real younger brother who is a clone, and a fake younger brother who is the original.
When Wen Bai was twelve, her parents brought a child home from the research institute and told her he was her younger brother.
But the very next day, her parents died in an explosion.
From then on, Wen Bai and her younger brother, Wen An, who wasn't related to her by blood, depended on each other.
On the day the interstellar academy opened, Wen An came home after being away for barely an hour.
Wen Bai was already feeling a little lonely on her own, and, with a selfish motive, she didn't send him back to school.
But from that day onward, Wen Bai noticed that her once obedient, sensible, and well-behaved little brother had started acting strangely.
He used to hate certain dishes, but now he devoured them at the table and even went out to buy them himself.
His bedroom door used to stay firmly shut, but now it was always wide open, as if inviting her to pry into his private life.
Just as Wen Bai was starting to think Wen An was getting stranger and stranger, she suddenly got a call from the school.
On the other end, Wen An's clear, gentle voice sounded aggrieved and coaxing. "Sis, we haven't seen each other for two months. Didn't you miss me even a little? Why didn't you call me even once..."
Hearing that familiar voice over the phone, Wen Bai felt her scalp prickle. She abruptly looked up at Wen An, who was sitting obediently nearby and smiling at her.
Then... who was he?
Later, the fake Wen An, the real Xiao Shisi, took her hand and pinned her against the table. His fierce gaze held a hint of vulnerability and pleading, and his voice trembled.
"Tell me, when you look at me, are you thinking about me or him?"
"We have the same face. Can't you spare even a little love for me?"
"He's just my clone, a cheap imitation... I'm the only one you love."
"It was only ever me, from beginning to end... That's how it should be."
