Cat, Detective, Girl

This story will be entering the paid section on March 11. Thank you for your support.

"Meow!"

"Mm-hmm, you're saying he's the culprit, right?"

"Meow!"

"I understand. The evidence is under the sofa."

"Give yourself up! You're the culprit! Hei, have the police arrived?"

"Just in time. They're right outside." Kuroo waved his phone.

"Kenma, can she really understand cats?" Lev shook Kenma in disbelief.

Kenma glanced guiltily at his childhood friend. "Yeah, probably."

Countless cases had proven that Arisugawa Courtney really did understand a bit of cat language. Whether it was a kitten at a crime scene or a friend with a catlike personality, she could translate them accurately. Sometimes, though, it left Kenma a little troubled.

"I like you." Kenma finally understood his own feelings and confessed to Arisugawa, but she didn't seem to get it.

"I like you too, Kenma."

He knew it would go like this. After looking around to make sure they were alone, Kenma let out a quiet, "...Meow."

"Mm, okay. Wait! Is that what you meant, Kenma?!"

"Everyone has a principle they'd protect for their entire life, something they wouldn't change even if offered an OO."

"I understand, teacher!"

"Great. Then why haven't you let go? Young people should go drink coffee. Strawberry milk is an exquisite beverage for mature adults who've been sufficiently worn down by work!"

"Because last week you promised that if I got first place on the exam, you'd cosplay as Gojo Satoru for me."

"Fine, let's do it! Unlimited Void!"

"You're really phoning it in, teacher."

"That's enough, you white-haired freak!"

White-haired guys are my lifelong passion, the thing I'd protect with everything I've got.

It's not that I fall for every white-haired guy I see. It's just that the people I like happen to be white-haired. But if you ask which of all the people I've met I like best, there are so many white-haired guys in this world, and yet the best one is always the next one.

Includes: a runaway, tsundere little white-haired boy; the most loyal right-hand man of the Clam King; a hardworking, ice-type captain of the Tenth Division...

Romance unfolds in separate arcs.

Theme: True love means understanding and accepting the selfishness and good and evil in people's hearts, yet still choosing them without hesitation.
