The eleventh year of Fuyou, spring.
Today I was lucky enough to get two plates of maltose. Fragrant, soft, and sweet. I enjoyed them with pear blossom wine and got a little tipsy. I was very pleased.
The eleventh year of Fuyou, summer.
Deep in the forest, I used my strength and agility to catch a cunning hare. I lit a fire and roasted it, then roasted wild yams to eat with it. The aroma was wonderful. After eating my fill, I spent the night in the mountains, gazing at the stars and moon. What greater joy could life hold?

Su Man's Travels Across Jiuzhou
Jiang Yubo closed the yellowed pages in his hand and looked down at the pug by his leg, its tail wagging wildly and a tuft of gray fur on its head. His eyes bloodshot, he rasped at his three hundred personal guards:
"Search again! Even if you have to dig three feet into the ground, find Su Man's bones!"
