A weirdly principled, dangerously unhinged-on-the-inside top x a world-weary, arrogant, dangerously unhinged-on-the-outside bottom
Sentinel top x Guide bottom
As captain of the Central Tower's renowned independent special operations squad, Qi Mingnian was famous not only for his strength and leadership, but also for his cat: a tiny, pure-white, blue-eyed cat, as he saw it.
He loved this cat and took it everywhere, sometimes tucked into the huge pocket of his combat suit, sometimes perched on his shoulder.
Strangely, whenever he brought the cat along, everyone looked at him funny.
Bystander: ? Why does Captain Qi keep carrying that indescribable thing around? Is no one going to do anything?
Squad Member A: Help, the captain's brought that indescribable thing to training again. What do I do? I'm afraid I'll be scared to death by that thing before the captain can yell me to death QAQ
Squad Member B: Just put up with it. I asked the captain about it before, when the thing wasn't around. He said it's just a cat.
Squad Member C: A cat?? Whose cat is a shapeless cloud of black mist, with fangs and claws whenever it takes shape, drooling at us? I don't want to get eaten, aaah!
Qi Mingnian noticed everyone staring and contentedly scratched the chin of the pure-white kitten on his shoulder. "Little Darling, they all like you so much."
The kitten purred and kneaded his solid shoulder with its paws. Its bright blue eyes blinked, and it let out a coy little "meow."
Bo Wuliang had a problem. Ever since he woke up one day in a stranger's bed, not only had his plans been thrown off, but the person who'd been shocked for all of one second had forcibly kept him at their side, supposedly to supervise an unregistered Guide.
All of that was bearable. He could carry out his plans in secret, and as for the supervision... well, he did need a place to stay.
What annoyed him was that even though he'd told the man his name, the man still called him "Little Darling" from time to time. How had he ended up saddled with such a disgusting name?
What? The man said he was a cat who had turned into a human? Just because his spirit animal was a feline, that didn't mean the man could make up a story like that and expect him to believe it!
Bo Wuliang hated his supervisor today, too. His so-called supervisor.
Recently, the "kitten" Qi Mingnian always brought along had disappeared. Before everyone could even breathe a sigh of relief, they saw that he'd brought a madman with him instead.
Qi Mingnian brought the madman along just as he used to bring his so-called cat. As everyone cautiously watched in terror, he turned to the person beside him and said pleasantly, "See? They all like you so much."
The person beside him ignored him and kept walking without even looking over.
Behind the two of them, the bystanders and squad members watched a familiar, indescribable black mist pour from the madman's back and bare its fangs at them.
Everyone's vision went black. Captain Qi! Wake up! That thing is definitely more than just a cat or a person who turned into a cat!
