I'm an unnamed cannon fodder character, with one unusual distinction: I know I'm in a prehistoric fantasy novel.
I was born into the Innate Human Race created by the Sage Nuwa.
The Innate Human Race possesses innate Dao bodies and can cultivate incredibly quickly. During the War of the Lich Tribes, the Witch Clan used the blood essence of humans to create Netherworld Banners and summon the Ancestral Witch True Bodies to help them fight, while the Demon Clan refined human golden cores into Witch-Slaying Swords to pierce the Witch Clan's blood miasma. As a result, the Innate Human Race was nearly wiped out, and I was one of the unlucky ones.
I thought I was dead, but when I opened my eyes again, the Witch and Demon Clans were a thing of the past, and the Investiture of the Gods war was about to begin.
Humanity was destined to rise, and I was ecstatic, because that meant I finally had the chance to turn my life around! I would fight to avoid being cannon fodder!
So, with my innate Dao body and a new name, I decided to find a master.
Don't ask why I don't just give up cultivating. The difference between the Innate Human Race and the Later-Born Human Race is the difference between the Goddess Nuwa showing off her craftsmanship and casually flicking out clumps of mud. An innate Dao body won't disappear just because you don't cultivate. Without power, you'll just become food for demons and monsters, so you should have some ambition in life.

This is the story of how the heroine became a third-generation disciple of the Chan Sect and helped the Zhou overthrow the Shang.
*
Little scene:
Jun Ning: “Nezha, I don't know how to grow flowers.”
She took him to see a patch of withered bamboo in the estate.
“See? I grew all of these.”
The spirited young man didn't seem fazed. He gripped his spear.
“If you're worried, Senior Sister, come fight me and see for yourself whether I'm really such a fragile flower.” He paused, then smiled again. “But if I win, you have to agree to become my Dao companion.”

This story is also known as “I'm the Chan Sect's Flower Gardener.”

[Important: Nezha is not the Demon Orb!!! He is Lingzhuzi!]
At its core, this is fanfiction based on Investiture of the Gods. The main story is told in third person and mostly follows the original setting, but also incorporates Journey to the West, prehistoric fantasy elements, and some author-created details.
The original Investiture of the Gods already includes references to items and customs that don't belong to the Shang Dynasty, since it's a historical romance. This story will have them too, so please don't say things like, “They didn't have XX in the Shang Dynasty.” I can promise not to have Jiang Ziya suddenly quote a Li Bai poem, but that doesn't apply to the narration.
Theme: Survive the troubled times.
