The Strongest Alien, but With Amnesia!

After Lin Zhiyu lost his memory, the world around him started looking bizarre.

His neighbors were moving corpses in all sorts of gruesome states. The apartment he rented was overrun with mushrooms that parasitized living people, and ghostly figures dangled from the ceiling, swinging as if on swings...

Looking at his bank balance, which was below zero, Lin Zhiyu fell silent for a few seconds, picked up his cleaning tools, and started a deep clean. He could make do with the place.

Later, the Anomaly Control Bureau came to tell him that the things he saw every day were called "anomalies."

The good news: He discovered he had a supernatural ability.

The bad news: The authorities insisted that people with supernatural abilities didn't exist.

...Then what was he?

Lin Zhiyu's motto: Don't overthink it. Just stay alive.

[The Depressing Karaoke Bar] Everyone was listless, sunk in suicidal gloom.

Lin Zhiyu looked radiant. "I'm naturally cheerful and easygoing. I know depression, but depression doesn't know me."

[The Man-Eating Library] Anyone who entered was dragged into a book and died without a sound.

Lin Zhiyu walked out unscathed. "Lucky for me, I ended up inside a fairy tale."

After he came and went from several anomalous sites without a scratch, the Anomaly Control Bureau questioned him.

Lin Zhiyu shrugged. "Why don't the anomalies affect me? I have no idea. That's what you need to figure out."

He thought he could hide the anomalies and live an ordinary life, but then the Bureau dropped a bizarre new boss, Lu Xiao, into his lap.

The man was strikingly handsome, domineering and autocratic, and had powerful connections. With one glance, he decided Lin Zhiyu had to join the Bureau.

Lin Zhiyu refused and filed complaints, but Lu Xiao effortlessly shut down every attempt.

Lin Zhiyu had an epiphany: Better to wear someone else out than wear yourself out.

Lu Xiao: "I don't wear anyone out. I only wear you out."

Lin Zhiyu: "...Buddy, do I have a grudge against you or something?"

"You do." Lu Xiao's expression changed in an instant. He leaned close and said in a low voice, "Long time no see, ex-boyfriend who seduced me and then abandoned me."

Lin Zhiyu was struck like a bolt of lightning.

After losing his memory, my ex-boyfriend became my boss.
