What Does It Mean When a Plant Blooms for You?

The era of the great universe, where exotic plants thrive

Xu Jianwei lived as an ordinary person for eighteen years, then suddenly awakened an ability that gave her a hundred percent healing affinity with plants.

Every plant loved being around her.

This meant that, despite failing biology, she could skip the exam and land a high-paying job at the Plant Institute, where she could eat and drink without a care.

The only downside was that, after someone awakened an ability, the government assigned them matchmaking tasks to ensure their genes would be passed on.

Her first match was a handsome man wearing electric shackles capable of delivering a million volts, watched over by twelve S-rank special police officers.

Xu Jianwei: ...

She recognized him. He was the number-one fugitive on the wanted list, the Devil Rose.

Their eyes met. The young man known as the "Devil" had a delicate, handsome face, and his dark lashes trembled faintly.

The next moment, a rose abruptly bloomed before Xu Jianwei, flaunting its beauty.

Startled, Xu Jianwei immediately smacked it aside.

The Devil Rose's face suddenly turned bright red.

After the matchmaking date, Xu Jianwei complained to her friend.

Friend: "He was courting you! Why did you reward him with your hand?!"

Xu Jianwei: "?"

After Xu Jianwei learned what flowers meant to plants: "You perverted flower!"

Xu Jianwei checked the box on her matchmaking form to refuse a second date.

She thought that was the end of it.

Until one day, the out-of-control Devil Rose burst into her room.

She was wrapped in a rosebud almost as large as the house. Thick vines bound her hands and feet, petals shoved her skirt into disarray, and fragrant flower nectar stained her calves.

Frightened, she used her smart device to call the police, but they told her, "Sorry, Miss Xu. We can't help you. You're the only one who can control this SSS-rank Devil Rose."
