This unfinished project is still under construction...
Blurb: The apocalypse, natural disasters, zombies, special abilities, and stockpiling supplies.
A meteorite falls, and the zombie outbreak begins!
The illusion of prosperity is shattered, and crime skyrockets. How can anyone survive in an apocalyptic world thrown into chaos?
Lin Yuan draws the curtains and says there's no need to panic. He's quit his job, secured his home, and stocked up on food. With a rooftop farm, he can stay put and get by for the rest of his life!
The neighbor next door seems pretty powerful. After watching him for a while, Lin Yuan decides to cozy up to him and improve his chances of survival.
Who knew he'd unexpectedly awaken a special ability? Lin Yuan feels like he can take on the world again!
It's the apocalypse. What's a few zombies? He has powers, too! Time to get to work!
He goes out now and then to kill zombies and scavenge supplies, then comes home to tend his crops and cook. Lin Yuan makes a pretty good life for himself in the apocalypse.
The powerhouse next door becomes his capable partner. After killing zombies, they also rescue a few people and recruit them as followers.
Lin Yuan's apocalyptic squad keeps growing, and it starts to look like they might rival the base.
Watching things unfold, Lin Yuan gradually furrows his brow. Wasn't the plan just to scrape by in the apocalypse? How did he end up as the leader?!
Lin Yuan realizes something's not right!
His capable partner wraps his arms around him from behind. “What's not right? This is just right. Can your vines feel things? Tonight, I want to...”
Lin Yuan turns bright red and hurriedly covers his partner's mouth. “No! You don't!”
"The Frail Young Educated Youth of the Seventies" blurb
Xi Yan had been sickly since childhood, spending almost his entire childhood steeped in medicine.
Fortunately, both of his parents worked as teachers in the government system, and the family was well-off, so Xi Yan's illness didn't ruin them.
Worried Xi Yan might not survive, his parents secretly had a second child. The baby was healthy, and his parents adored them, so Xi Yan soon lost their affection.
When Xi Yan grew up, his parents arranged for him to become an educated youth in a remote countryside village without even telling him.
Xi Yan was frail, and the countryside was full of poisonous insects. On top of that, he had to do farm work every day. The other educated youths didn't like him much. He never earned many work points, and the letters he sent home never got a reply.
Seeing no hope, Xi Yan secretly ran to the big banyan tree at the village entrance to cry. Several times, he even thought of slitting his wrists and ending it all.
But someone caught him crying in secret, a humiliating sight. Xi Yan covered his face and ran back to the educated youth dormitory.
He thought everyone in the village would know the next day and laugh at him.
But not only did what he feared fail to happen, someone helped with his work and brought him brown sugar and eggs.
A tall, stammering man held out an egg to him and awkwardly tried to comfort him. “D-don't cry.”
The love interest's point of view:
Another educated youth had been sent to the village.
This one was different from the others. He was thin and fair, dressed in respectable trousers and a shirt, and carried a sturdy leather bag. He smiled as he handed hard candies to the village children.
Even I got a piece when I walked past.
The second time I saw him was in the fields. The educated youth had changed out of his shirt and was wearing the rough homespun clothes everyone in the village wore, awkwardly trying to learn how to farm.
The new educated youth was clumsy and weak. He'd barely dug the soil, leaving big clods behind. It wasn't fit for planting, so the field had to be worked over again.
The third time I saw him was by the river. The educated youth was washing his clothes. His little hands had turned white from soaking in the water, and in less than a week, blisters and calluses had formed on his palms.
That was also when I learned his name was Xi Yan.
Xi Yan. What a lovely name.
The next time I saw him, I caught him breaking down in tears. Xi Yan was mortified, covered his face, and ran away.
Yan Liangchuan felt sorry for him and decided to help Xi Yan more often.

Content warnings: 1. The love interest stammers! Stammers! Stammers! I'll say it three times!
2. The protagonist is very frail.
Delicate protagonist x rugged man
Theme: Even in the apocalypse, you have to keep living well.
There needs to be wind power generation on the top floor!!!
Doesn't Gong work in a research institute? How come you don't have any sensitivity or awareness of crisis when studying germs?
Space powers are really useful. Is it possible for the protagonist to awaken dual powers? It's more practical to have your own space to put things!
Congratulations on the new article, keep it up 🌈
