[An emotionally steady, guiding heroine who taps away at the wooden fish above her head × an action-oriented hero who’s a bit of a gossip and sneaks peeks at his wife’s wooden fish every day.]

I’ve fixed the typos (though I may have missed some, since I’m the queen of typos),
and I also changed the title to see how it goes.
When Yu Ting was diagnosed with a terminal illness, she should, in theory, have felt devastated.
But she didn’t even get the chance!
Who could be sad after hearing, “One-click immigration, with a healthy body, a stable salary, and full benefits included”?
Tingting figured it was the reward for tapping a wooden fish in her heart every day and accumulating good karma.
The HR system offered great benefits, but they could get even better!
Immigration came with biological parents included.
And she even got a handsome, fun-loving neighbor to gossip with. He did have strange gibberish floating above his head, but that wasn’t a big deal.
Everything was going so wonderfully...
Then she met a young girl with the label [Heroine of The School Bully Regretted It After I Died] floating above her head. The first thing the girl said after entering the school nurse’s office was:
“Teacher, do you think they’d regret it if I died?”
Tingting: Thanks for asking. I have a million ways to make them regret it, but none of them involve you hurting yourself.
She taught the girl to rebel, all the while guiltily tapping away at the wooden fish in her heart.
Or there was the man who came to the small clinic in a suit, striking an exaggerated pose as he pretended to be melancholy. The label above his head read [Hero of The CEO’s Substitute Wife].
He opened with, “I told her I loved her, but she still refused to give me one of her kidneys.”
Tingting: I can tell the difference between romance and fraud!
She couldn’t help wondering if she’d been tapping the wooden fish too little. Lately, there seemed to be more and more shameless people around her.
After reading one instruction manual after another, Tingting finally got it. This wasn’t some new immigration program and job. She’d transmigrated into a shelf full of melodramatic novels! And while most heroines transmigrate into a single book, she’d apparently landed in an entire shelf of bizarre melodramas! [Exciting.JPG]
Zhou had recently gotten a new neighbor...
The smiling neighbor had a wooden fish over her head, visible only to him. It tapped at different speeds.
As he tried to figure out how it worked, Zhou Shu found himself following her with his gaze.
He watched her smile as she pulled people out of the mire.
He saw her break up couples that everyone else considered perfect matches.
He watched her enter a world ruled by twisted rules, smiling as she shattered the “obvious truths” everyone had accepted for years.
Suddenly, he desperately hoped he might see his own reflection in her eyes...
Coming next: [A high-EQ, flirtatious superstar × a tsundere kid with a mommy complex × a younger CEO who’s been secretly in love for years and wins himself over][Please add it to your favorites]
Even after the outstanding Ye Lin learned she was the contrast character in the story, she never felt nervous.
That is, until her bedroom ceiling cracked open and a child fell through.
He called himself the Demon King. He was covered in wounds and terribly thin.
For the first time in her life, Ye Lin had a problem: how to be a good mother.
Xingxing was a wonderful child.
He noticed that Ye Lin got up early every day to make breakfast and wanted to help.
Ye Lin: Now the ceiling has raw eggs on it, too.
He saw how tired she was from tending the garden and tried to help feed the fish.
Ye Lin: Poor fishies...
The child wanted to help because he loved her, and Ye Lin thought that was lovely. The only problem was that he cared a lot about whether she needed him.
Ye Lin: Needed? Oh, she was great at making people feel needed!
So young Xingxing got a taste of her sweet-talking ways.
“Xingxing, other moms get to hug their babies. Could I have a hug, too? But I don’t want to pressure you, even though I’ll be sad if you say no~”
Xingxing frowned sternly and lectured his mother with utmost seriousness. “You shouldn’t compare yourself to others.”
Ye Lin was regretting that her son had such a high resistance to her sweet talk when she realized a skinny little boy had appeared in her arms.
She understood: He was just tsundere!
Ye Lin threw herself wholeheartedly into being a sweet-talking mommy!
“Xingxing, other moms get to take pictures with their babies. I wish I could, too...”
“Being greedy is bad.” As he said this, Ye Lin got a photo with her grumpy little baby.
“Xingxing, I saw other moms getting kisses from their babies, but I don’t get any! Boo-hoo!”
“Being clingy is bad.” Even as he said it, he gave Ye Lin a quick kiss on the cheek!
So absorbed in raising her child, Ye Lin completely forgot about the plot, until the heroine, who had exposed someone’s scandal, hit back by buying the top trending spot for a story about Ye Lin having a child out of wedlock.
Just like in the plot, Ye Lin appeared on the same variety show as the heroine. She prepared herself for a barrage of hate, but instead received an outpouring of sympathy.
Viewers thought little Xingxing was adorable, but looked like he could knock Ye Lin flat with one good thump.
Ye Lin: Wow, you really have to hand it to fickle internet users for their way with words.
Ye Lin didn’t care what the viewers thought. What bothered her lately was her neighbor, who might be a secret hater.
He was a little too present in her life, giving Ye Lin one of life’s three great delusions: He likes me.
Everyone in the industry knew that Mr. Xie had a “white moonlight.” He’d been in love with them since high school, but the love had never been returned.
Rumor had it that his white moonlight had recently had a child, and he’d been drinking his sorrows away.
To plenty of people, this was a golden opportunity.
But before any of them could make a move, word suddenly spread that Mr. Xie was going around saying, “I feel like I was born to be a stepdad.”
Theme: I didn’t hold on to you. You reached out your hand to ask me for help.
