What do you do if a bunch of little brats latch onto you while you're still young?
No one is better qualified to answer than Police Inspector Rei Furuya, who was picked up by the Kid-Picking-Up System and forced to transmigrate to another world to raise children.
Furuya: Thanks for asking. After the worlds merged, I became a single dad to a whole bunch of kids in this utterly ridiculous world where people die by the dozens at the drop of a hat.

One day, Vermouth, disguised for the organization's annual meeting, was surprised to see Bourbon making call after call with an uncharacteristically calm expression, sounding either irritated or relieved.
The Witch of a Thousand Faces couldn't help wondering about the people on the other end of the line. Could Bourbon, who was as committed to keeping secrets as she was, have a weakness of his own?
Bourbon can tell you with complete confidence: No. This isn't a weakness. It's the solid support network I've earned through years of being a dad.
There are two kids flying through the sky, two more hiding on the ground, and friends and colleagues at the National Police Agency and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. They're all watching you like hawks.
Organization, you're surrounded!

Rei Furuya opened the Kid-Picking-Up System's list:
First time as a dad: A naive newborn Aragami who couldn't recognize a single character, and a brilliant detective whose talents were rejected by the world.
Second time as a dad: A shikigami user whose father vanished without a word, leaving him to rely on his older sister.
Third time as a dad: A child in Hokkaido who witnessed his entire family die in a hail of bullets.
Fourth time as a dad: The Third Prince of Chentang Pass, whose own father destroyed his temple and cut off his path to survival.
Fifth time as a dad: A little black cat who had only just learned to take human form.
After raising kids for a long time, you pick up a few things. Every child has a different personality, and every one of them has potential. The best approach is to let them be themselves and simply guide them a little when it comes to adult matters.
Love roughhousing? No problem. As long as you don't mean to do harm, you can be taught.
Self-harming? That's all right. As professional undercover agents, we're experts in psychological counseling!
Destined to die a tragic death? Since I've transmigrated, surely it's not too much to defy fate and change my own kid's destiny?
Wrongfully driven from home? Injustice is meant to be righted!
Can't use your powers? Isn't the reason I arrived in this world early so I could find you a teacher in advance?
After returning to the Detective Conan world, Furuya discovered that the worlds had merged. The children who still remembered him came running and chattering all over Japan to find him. Some even went on television and made attention-grabbing news to get him to notice them.
But by then, he had transmigrated back to when he was twenty-two. Now he was just an excessively young police academy student with little support behind him. (In short, he was broke.)
So... don't come any closer!

This story is both heartbreaking and sweet. It's an unconventional rescue story. The timeline is chaotic: first a crossover with Japanese anime and manga, then with Chinese animation and comics, with plenty of hopping between worlds and a worldbuilding mash-up of N different universes to keep you well fed (). The blurb will be fleshed out when there's time.
Theme: Build your dreams beneath your feet, and set your sights on the distance.
It's Ling Ling Xin Wen! Coming at full speed! 💪
