May You Live Ten Thousand Years

A girl × an assassin

May you live for a thousand years, and may every year bring you spring.

Short story, temporarily on hiatus

Su Qichun was the only daughter of Physician Su of Huairen Hall in Zhanjiang County, and had been doted on since childhood.

But when she came of age, the usually sweet and obedient Su Qichun rebelled.

The first year, the matchmaker had barely reached the door when the sound of objects smashing came from inside.

An angry voice from within declared, "I'm not getting married!"

The second year, Su Qichun was coaxed out of her room. When she saw the visitor, she raised her chin and said nothing.

The third year, her father fell gravely ill, and with no one else to rely on, her aunt shoved her into a bridal sedan.

The sedan was pitch-black. Su Qichun bit her lip as tears pattered down her cheeks. She murmured, "You promised three years. Why haven't you come yet?"

The next instant, a beam of light appeared before her, and someone grasped her wrist.

"You..." She saw the person before her, but before she could finish speaking, tears fell.

The young man wiped away her tears and said softly, "I'm late."

1v1, both leads are each other's only partners, happy ending

The three years the heroine waited weren't only for the hero. She had something important to do.
