Not wanting him to dwell on those things, the girl smiled and asked, "Then what's your name?"

"I don't have one."

"Then I'll give you one." The girl smiled, her eyes bright, and reached out to take his arm.

"My name is Qichun. You'll be Manshan. Qichun Manshan: it sounds like something beautiful."

The fingertips hidden in the young man's sleeve trembled.

"All right. Then I'll be called Manshan."
