The Young Lady Is Sulking Again Today

To repay a debt of gratitude, Mode comes to Yuhong Town to protect Yeta Leighton.

The young lady has trouble getting around and can only use a wheelchair. When Mode sneaks into the manor, afternoon sunlight falls across the hem of the young lady's dress. A black cat lounges on her lap, and she has her head bowed as if asleep.

She deliberately steps on some dry leaves, making Yeta turn around. Mode's blood-red eyes curve into a smile, and when Yeta looks her way, she bares her sharp fangs.

The young lady shows no fear or alarm. She merely furrows her brow slightly, gently pats the cat's back, and sends it away. Then she calmly asks, "Are you here to kill me?"

She doesn't get the reaction she wanted, but Mode is even more excited. She bursts into laughter. "Yeta Leighton, the Blood Moon Calamity is coming. Your mother sent me to protect you."

"Thank you for coming, but I don't need protection." Yeta tilts her head up slightly to meet Mode's gaze, her tone polite but distant. "Please leave."

Mode grins at her with sharp fangs, then strides forward under Yeta's gaze and pushes the wheelchair into the manor. "Give me a tour of the place. Where's your room? Your mother told me to guard you personally, so I'll have to sleep with you."

She sees Yeta clench her hands, her thin lips pressed together as they grow even paler. Perhaps realizing that this vampire won't respect her wishes, Yeta falls silent.

But the more she acts this way, the more amusing Mode finds her.

Sharp fangs press against her skin, and warm blood trickles down. Feeling the young lady tense and tremble, Mode lets out a muffled chuckle. "You can say no."

"You promised me you'd avenge my mother." Yeta raises her arms and wraps them around Mode, her expression still calm, though the corners of her eyes are slightly red. "Please hurry. Stop teasing me."

"As you wish."
