My Best Friend Has His Eye on Me

A side couple from Shall We Become Bone-Deep? Approximately 30,000 characters.

Synopsis.

They met in high school.

Chi Nan is straight and hates gay people. He neither supports nor opposes them.

That year, after Chi Nan found out his best friend, Sheng Xizhou, was gay, he cut off their friendship immediately.

Later, after entering the working world, they stayed in touch.

Although Sheng Xizhou liked men, he was a decent person, so Chi Nan never blocked him completely.

Who knew that one day, Sheng Xizhou would barge into his life?

"Dr. Chi, I'm here for a checkup."

"Dr. Chi, I hurt my leg."

"Dr. Chi, I broke my hand."

"Dr. Chi, I hit my head."

Chi Nan said without expression, "How come that didn't kill you?"

Someone at the hospital joked, "Attorney Sheng, why are you injured every day? You should get a VIP membership card and become a regular."

One day, Sheng Xizhou really was injured. He was at death's door in the ICU, and it was all because of Chi Nan.

Chi Nan didn't want him to die. Those days, life felt dull and empty.

"Sheng Xizhou, if you want to pursue me, keep yourself alive."

The person in the bed woke up and answered quietly, "I heard you..."
