This Beta Is Anything but Proper

Ever since Shen Zhishen was born, his parents had fought constantly.

Whenever they did, he would run to the basketball court and watch the middle schoolers play.

Whenever Xing Zhou looked outside the fence, he would see a kid lying there.

"Hey, grade-schooler, wanna join us?"

Shen Zhishen froze for a moment, then ran over happily. "Hi, big brother."

That winter, a heavy snowfall blanketed the ground. Shen Zhishen's parents divorced, and neither of them wanted him.

In a daze, he walked to the lake, ready to jump in.

"Don't jump! If you fall in and kill the fish, who's going to take responsibility? The fish haven't done anything wrong."

Shen Zhishen turned around and saw Xing Zhou.

"I can't afford food. I have nowhere to live and no money. What's the point of being alive..."

Xing Zhou said, "I'll take care of you."

That year, Shen Zhishen was twelve, and Xing Zhou was fifteen.

Xing Zhou had a private villa near the school. He brought the kid home and told the servants to keep it quiet.

And so he cared for him for countless years.

In public, Xing Zhou claimed he didn't know him.

In private, once Shen Zhishen was an adult, they did everything there was to do.

Shen Zhishen worked part-time at a KTV. He was musically gifted and sang beautifully, so he was often called in to sing for customers.

One day, someone tried to touch him. Shen Zhishen was disgusted and was about to beat the guy up when the Alpha, Xing Zhou, came rushing over and kicked him flying.

Xing Zhou: "Can't I afford to take care of you? Why are you selling your act in a place like this?"

Shen Zhishen leaned against him and said, "How about I perform just for you, in your bed?"

Xing Zhou couldn't hold back any longer. He hoisted him over his shoulder and carried him away.
