Now Broadcasting: Crossroads Escape

[The blurb may change; the main story is written in third person]

I got out of the car to buy a bottle of water, but when I stepped out, I found myself standing at a crossroads.

Why were there twelve chairs here?

Why was the bustling city center completely deserted?

Only the last chair remained unoccupied.

Everyone looked tense, beads of sweat on their foreheads. The person in the very middle stood up shakily and spoke.

"Come sit down. Let's begin the escape game."

"From now on, we'll be given different role cards. Everyone must live and fight according to the requirements of their card."

"Anyone whose role card is guessed will die. Different roles also have assassination missions, so don't let your guard down."

"From this moment on, the whole world will be watching our game, but no one will come to our aid... We're just actors in their reality show."

The escape game had begun.

Countless viewers clicked on the latest game livestream: Escape from the Crossroads.

The contestants entered the city, unaware of what was happening, and discovered that all the citizens ignored them, as if they couldn't see them.

They were viewers outside the livestream and absolutely could not interfere with the game.

Life has no rehearsals. Every day is a live broadcast.

"Contestants, enter one by one."
