The Demon God Cursed Me to Have Nothing but Money

After refusing the boss's advances, Lu Li, an idol whose limited-time debut group has disbanded and who is waiting to transition to a new career, is blacklisted and shelved by her company.

Her unscrupulous manager keeps telling her that if she gets together with the boss, she'd have more resources than she could ever use. Lu Li counts down the days, then leaves the entertainment industry and goes home to farm on the day her contract expires. And then...

On her first day back in the countryside, while turning the soil on her family's land, Lu Li digs up a jar containing a sealed demon god.

The demon god, newly released, says in a sinister voice, "Congratulations, you unfortunate good Samaritan. I shall place upon you the most cruel and vicious curse in the world. You will live and die alone, unable to bear children. Though you possess countless riches, no one in this world will ever truly love you again. For the rest of your life, you will have nothing but cold, hard cash."

Lu Li: ?

Seriously? There's a deal this good in the world?

During the first millennium of his imprisonment, the demon god thought, If anyone helps me break this seal, I'll give them power beyond measure, whether they wish to be king or conqueror.

But no one helped him break the seal.

During the second millennium of his imprisonment, the demon god thought, If anyone helps me break this seal, I'll grant them any wish, even immortality and eternal life.

But still, no one helped him break the seal.

During the third millennium of his imprisonment, the demon god thought, If anyone helps me break this seal, I'll give them the most cruel and vicious curse in the world! But...

Looking at the entertainment-industry directors and idols, down-on-their-luck actors, potential heirs to wealthy families, and talented young men from those supposedly righteous cultivation sects he despises, all flattering Lu Li and fawning over her just to get her money, while Lu Li grows happier and happier by the day,

the demon god, unable to keep up with modern thinking, can't help but voice his old-fashioned confusion:

Why isn't she in despair, even though no one can offer her a shred of genuine love?

Lu Li, who just won the first prize of a one-billion lottery right after being cursed: Hehe, I'll take wealth and luxury, but I don't need a bit of true love ^_^
