The Odd Jobs Shop Is Peaceful as Ever Today

[Updates when inspiration strikes]

Joking blurb:

OO you OOOO what OOOO just OOO.

Serious blurb:

The land of samurai.

That was once our country's name. But it's now a thing of the past. With the aliens who descended from space twenty years ago growing ever more powerful, and the sword ban in place, the samurai have steadily declined.

In this era, there is a man who carries the spirit of the samurai. His name is Sakata Gintoki.

By a twist of fate, Shimura Shinpachi and Kagura come to work at the Odd Jobs Gin, run by this impulsive sweets lover.

The three of us at Odd Jobs Gin swear to cut down corrupt Edo in one stroke.

Is this the kind of novel we're writing?

Tips:

1. The Odd Jobs Gin trio's bond is the main focus, with a little Okita/Kagura romance, plus a little Gintoki/Hijikata. If you ship Hijikata with Gintoki with Gintoki as the one-sided admirer, keep shipping them.

2. Ensemble cast, including whole chapters about the Shinsengumi.

3. The timeline is everyday life after episode 297. The novel spans the gap between episodes 297 and 300. It doesn't involve the main plot, and everyone gets to enjoy a brief stretch of happiness in their daily lives.

4. I'm not very familiar with Japanese references.

5. There will be crossovers with various anime.

6. Never mind all that, let me get on my knees and apologize first. The author just loves being absurd.
