The Empire's Treasure [Everyone's Favorite]

After transmigrating, Zhuzhu found herself in front of a squad of soldiers on patrol.

Every one of them wore a solemn military uniform and stood tall and imposing.

Zhuzhu trembled as she looked at them, then realized none of them could be called human. Some had two furry ears on their heads, while others had a big, fluffy tail swishing behind them.

When they spotted her, their stern faces lit up with excitement.

Someone caught the unique, sweet scent of a purebred human in the air, a scent that had vanished thousands of years ago and could now only be found in restored exhibits at museums.

"It's a human!"

"A purebred human!"

"An untainted human!"

Zhuzhu was surrounded by them and taken to live in the most exclusive residence, to keep other empires from coveting her.

With advances in science and technology, people began injecting genes from other species into their bodies to extend their lives.

Humans who combined with animal genes gained powerful abilities, but also suffered from the violent side effects of beastification. Their bloodlines were no longer pure.

To keep them from fully transforming into beasts, they needed to raise a next generation with a high proportion of pure human genes.

As a rising star of the future, Zhuzhu took on the responsibility of helping humanity rise again. But she would have to choose for herself the husband assigned to her by the Empire.

The stag military adviser twisted his short, fluffy tail and spoke in a shy, soft voice. "Miss Zhuzhu, do you like touching tails? You can touch my antlers, too."

The white rabbit prince drooped his two extraordinarily long ears, his eyes brimming with tears as he looked at her. "Can't it be me? Is it really impossible?"

The serpent-transformed general had cold scales along his neck. He swished his tail seductively, coiling it around her again and again. The tail made a startling crack as it moved.

He hissed and flicked his tongue between his lips, sniffing beside her ear. "Miss Purebred Human, you really do smell wonderful."

The leopard commander, unable to compete with the other beast-transformed officers, followed their example. Looking mortified, he brushed her palm with his most magnificent leopard tail.

"I suppose you can touch my tail, too."

She was the pride of the entire Empire, and its most precious treasure.
