[Blurb archived on 2024.8.21]

Li Siyuan, a traditional craft inheritor, refuses to take over the family business and sets out alone to break into the entertainment industry. She becomes an obscure actress with no name recognition, earning the title of "so obscure that no one can find her."

With a shell company, an exploitative boss, a tough agent, and a lazy assistant giving her a terrible start, she packs her bags and heads to Hengdian.

With no connections, she finds her own. With no roles, she hangs around film sets. If she can't play a living person, she'll play a corpse! She's a cockroach that won't die, chasing her dream in show business!

After all her hard work, she finally gets a chance to play a villain with three lines!

Her peers may laugh at her, but she won't be discouraged. Even great actors started out as extras!

Then, by some twist of fate, she suddenly gets unbelievably lucky?

Sheng Tianze, president of Shengshi Media Group, actually "specifically requests" her for the lead role?

It's a huge production with a massive budget! Has Sheng Tianze gone blind?

Li Siyuan isn't the only one thinking that. Everyone is.

"Since the boss thinks so highly of me, I'll give it my best!"

At the livestream, Li Siyuan lays it on thick, acting like a total suck-up.

Sheng Tianze, heartbroken at the thought of his several billion in investment going down the drain: "Get away from me, woman! Get lost... Woof, woof!"

The livestream crew and viewers across the country: ???

President Sheng, why are you barking?
