Since it's impossible to know when the Dark Continent arc will be finished, I'm moving the old idea to another upcoming story for now. This is what I'll write next: the completed Hunter story on my homepage, White Moonlight Has a Bad Ending Nine Times in the Hunter World.
My name is Aisairiel. I'm a flying Chimera Ant, and I've always lived a happy life close to nature, among my own kind.
My Nen Ability is "Empty Mirror." It can copy any ability. It's incredibly powerful, even stronger than the Royal Guard.
Youpi says my ability is cheating. The freaky Pouf says I'm stupid and too incompetent to become a Royal Guard. Neferpitou analyzed my ability and said it has a huge flaw that needs to be avoided. But I still think I'm amazing, especially after knocking Pouf flying for the nth time.
Until I ran into a group of difficult Nen users (food).
Food No. 1: A black-haired man with a cross tattoo on his forehead, who likes to hold a book and spout high-minded ideas.
"Copying? My ability is pretty similar, but if I don't use mine, you'll lose."
Me: "Don't think you can pass yourself off as God just because you've got a cross on your head. Damn, I hate people who act all high and mighty."
Food No. 2: A narcissistic pervert who keeps getting a boner and loves wearing heavy makeup.
"How interesting. You can copy my ability? But none of my abilities are offensive, darling~"
Me: "Call me darling again and see if I don't cut your junk off."
Food No. 3: A long-haired person who looks like a woman, but speaks in a man's voice. A stone-faced loner who talks to himself.
"Come home with me, Little Ai."
Me: "Huh, you're a cross-dresser too? My good friend Bito is one as well. I'll cut off your head and give it to him."
More and more strange ability users keep turning up, constantly disturbing my leisurely ant life. Even stranger, every time they appear, a strange voice pops into my head.
"System detection: Slaughter the Love Rivals mission initiated. Current memory restoration progress: 1%."
...What's that?
Fed up, I asked the other ants about it. None of them had ever heard the voice. Only Pouf said it might be because I'm defective.
Who's defective?
I beat Pouf up again, then decided to go settle the score with those ability users. It's all your fault I'm hearing things!
But when we met again, they didn't attack me. Instead, they started "confessing their love."
...What does that mean? Aren't we supposed to be in a relationship where one eats the other?

[Content warnings!!!]
1. First-person narration. Aisairiel's name comes from Ethereal. Don't expect anything from the protagonist's intelligence, emotional intelligence, character, or abilities. She's an emotionless, expressionless ant, and the story mainly follows her laid-back farming life in NGL (?). This isn't a flawless power fantasy. Mountains of original lore, extreme out-of-character portrayals, and unrestrained personal tastes. Just have fun with it, and thank you for reading.
2. Mainly Hunter, with other characters possibly appearing later. No choosing sides; I want them all. Love-triangle chaos and one-sided crushes. Happy ending, with bonus scenes in the author's notes.
3. I'm just a cook making food because I want something to eat. I'll write whatever I like, and I can't cater to everyone's tastes. Thanks for bookmarking and supporting the story. Friendly discussion is welcome; let's build a harmonious community together.
