Blurb: (A demon who can't manipulate people x a god who falls for her and gets dumped)
The peach blossom demon Luo Qi has to make a deal with a mysterious person to get revenge. She must ruin a certain god's trial of love and destroy him.
She'll toy with his feelings and tempt him until he's infatuated with her and unable to resist, then cruelly cast him aside so he'll love her without ever having her!
*
The god Wen Yu descends to the mortal world to undergo his trial of love, but loses his memory and accidentally saves a young woman who seems to have "ulterior motives" toward him.
He stays wary of her and keeps his distance, but... things gradually spiral out of control.
She sits with him on the roof to watch fireworks. Wen Yu keeps a straight face, but his heart is racing. Seduction doesn't work. He'll endure it.
At the end of autumn, she gives him a bouquet of ginkgo leaves. Wen Yu complains, but his ears turn red. Gifts don't work either. He'll keep enduring it.
She builds a snowman with someone else and leaves him waiting. He... He can't take it anymore!
So Wen Yu gives up and thinks: She's been dropping all these hints. There's no harm in letting myself like her a little.
*
Luo Qi never once told him she "liked" him. Wen Yu is convinced she's just too shy to say she likes him.
But on the day she becomes an immortal, she runs her sword through his chest, and he finally realizes that she'd only approached him with an ulterior motive. If she never says she likes him, it's because she really doesn't.
When they meet again, she stands before him, covered in blood and surrounded by corpses. He should kill her to vent his anger, but instead he aches for her. He traps her beneath him with his cold, sticky tail, the corners of his eyes red as he puts on a fierce face. "Run again, and I'll kill you!"
Luo Qi grabs him by the throat and throws herself into a kiss. "You're the one who can't get away now."

Reading guide:
1. A sweet, happy-ending story. Slightly melodramatic, but not too much. The leads aren't like demons and gods in the traditional sense.
2. A pure and innocent romance. Hand-holding and blushing at first, tails later.
3. Lots of plot clues and twists. This is a romance about adventure, growth, and revenge, but not a serious one.
4. The story and title don't quite match. It's a slow burn, with lots of plot in the early chapters.
Also: If you come across a plot point or description that upsets or bothers you, curse at the author, not the characters. It's all my fault (bows).

"Mirror"
Pei Yan thinks there's something wrong with the mirror in his house. Every time he walks past, he can feel a sticky, icy gaze wandering over him.
But when he looks, all he sees is his own familiar face.
Until one day, drunk and kneeling before the mirror to comfort himself, he fogs up the glass with his breath and meets a pair of eerie eyes. Something's wrong, he thinks. The reflection is getting closer and closer.
Pei Yan stops and goes into the bathroom. Over the sound of running water, he seems to hear the mirror shatter. Then a cold hand grabs his ankle and holds on tight.
He hears it say, "Keep going. I'm not satisfied yet."

"Specimen"
Rong Si loves collecting all kinds of specimens, but has never found one that truly suits his taste.
Then one day, he visits a private collection with a friend and finally finds the specimen he likes best.
Rong Si points at it, fascinated. "This specimen looks exactly like me. I'm taking it home."
His friend looks baffled. "That's just an ordinary butterfly specimen."
Ignoring his friend's protests, Rong Si takes it home and sets it on his bedside table. He watches it slowly crawl out, pin him down, tie him up, and have its way with him.

"Sculpture"
Su Yu has always lived in his older brother's shadow. He constantly imitates his late brother, hoping to win his family's approval.
So he locks himself in his room and repeatedly imitates the last sculpture his brother left behind: a full-length statue of himself.
But he can never capture its spirit.
When he breaks down and kicks the sculpture over, its face suddenly comes to life, and then it crawls out.
He pins Su Yu against the sculpture and snarls, "If you don't like me, why do you keep touching me over and over?"

Just kiss the corner of the mouth, don't be too pure of love 🌈
I feel that in the third case, there is a feeling of helpless passing caused by various objective factors. I feel that it is this kind of love. There is also the story that black is not necessarily black, white is not necessarily white, and there is gray between black and white.
