New story on my profile: "Just Two Husbands," ongoing
Su Yunyi is the illegitimate daughter of a prestigious family. She is as lovely as a peach blossom, but her birth mother is lowborn.
Her father regards her as a gift and plans to send her to the Prince of Huai Jiang, who is nearly seventy.
All Su Yunyi can say to herself is, "I don't want this."
To escape her unfair fate, she sets her sights on her cousin, Pei Qilang, who is staying in the eastern courtyard of her family home.
Rumor has it that Pei Qilang comes from a distinguished family and wields tremendous power. Yet he's also a mild-mannered, refined sickly beauty who looks easy to manipulate...
Beneath the moonlight, Su Yunyi falls into Pei Qilang's arms, tears in her eyes.
"Cousin, save me."
After months of intimacy and passion, Pei Qilang tells her before they part, "Wait for me."
It's all just necessary, hollow flattery. Su Yunyi knows that perfectly well.
She tearfully sees Pei Qilang off, then turns around and picks a poor scholar instead. Just as the marriage seems about to be settled, Pei Qilang returns.
He grips her chin, smiling warmly like a refined gentleman. "Cousin, how cruel of you. Were you really planning to seduce me and then abandon me?"
Pei Qilang's real name is Pei Xuan. He's the seventh son and the current emperor.
Only then does Su Yunyi learn the truth.
A scheming beauty x a black-hearted emperor

"Just Two Husbands"
Xu Yao is set up by her stepmother and nearly loses her virginity to a strange young man.
When the young man wakes, he realizes he took advantage of her and feels terribly guilty. He immediately swears he will come to ask for her hand in marriage.
Xu Yao assumes he's just saying it to placate her. Who could have guessed he would actually show up? He turns out to be Rong Sheng, heir to the Marquis of Dingyuan!
Her mercenary father readily agrees, and the wedding proceeds without a hitch.
On their wedding night, they smile at each other.
Xu Yao bashfully brings up their first meeting at the Zuohua Pavilion, but Rong Sheng frowns. "Yao Yao, we first met four years ago, on the third day of the third month, by the river in Jiangling. You gave me a willow branch to send me off."
"Who did you mistake me for?"
At those words, the red candles in the room seem to burn cold.
Rong Sheng rises and leaves. He doesn't return until the third day, when he comes to take Xu Yao to meet his twin brother, Rong Chi, who has rushed back from the frontier.
The curtain is lifted, revealing a face identical to Rong Sheng's, and the small mole beneath his left eye, so deeply etched in Xu Yao's memory.
That vermilion mole was the one she had kissed countless times in her passion that night.
.
After accidentally being poisoned, he wakes to find the young woman beside him crying bitterly.
They hadn't gone all the way, but Rong Chi is not the sort to shirk responsibility. He swears that once his official duties are complete, he will come to ask for her hand.
But who could have guessed that a month later, when he returns to the capital, the girl he can't stop thinking about has already become his sister-in-law?
Unable to bear Xu Yao avoiding him again and again, Rong Chi finally decides to confess everything to his older brother.
"...Brother, I know I've wronged you, but to you, Yao Yao is just an ordinary young lady. You don't have to have her!"
His usually composed older brother's eyes are red. "How do you know I don't have to have her?"
.
Rong Sheng has a girl he likes. No one knows.
Four years ago, he traveled north alone by boat to seek justice for the people of Lin County, who had been struck by disaster, and to bring their case before the emperor.
Everyone thought he was unlikely to return alive.
Only one strange young girl wished him farewell by the river in Jiangling, breaking off a willow branch for him. She looked at him with bright eyes and said, "I'll wait for you to come back."
He returned victorious, just as she had promised, and became famous across the land. But he never saw again the girl who had smiled at him with a willow branch in her hand.
He spent four years searching for her. As soon as he received word, he hurried to her door to ask for her hand and bring her home as his bride.
Everything went impossibly smoothly.
Until she looked at him with those bright eyes and said softly, "When we first met at the Zuohua Pavilion that night, you said you'd come marry me. I thought you were just saying it."
Rong Sheng felt as though he had fallen into an icy abyss.
He had never been to the Zuohua Pavilion.
"Yao Yao, who did you mistake me for?"
Theme: Mountains may crumble and people may leave, but relying on yourself is the right path.
I can accept that the heroine doesn't have children, but I can't accept that the heroine can't have children. Wow.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha The princess is in 1V2, sad, why can't the heroine do the same? 😭
Why do you like to be sloppy in everything you do? 💔
Are these two real orthopedics or pseudo-orthopedics? [Afraid][Afraid]
The pressure from the big boss is really strong
I really like the setting of this novel. The heroine is good at guessing people's hearts, has subjectivity, strives for what she likes, and is very clear-headed. The hero is cold and the flower of the high mountain descends from the altar, white and black. I most like to watch the plot of the male and female protagonists fighting each other in the early stage. I find it very interesting. The possessiveness of the female protagonist is gently restrained. I like this very much. The war scenes are also well written and have a sense of urgency, but they are not enough to directly touch people's hearts. The writing is a bit childish. I recommend reading more war books such as The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Occasionally, I can see some sober truths written in simple words, which are very direct and profound. But the shortcoming is that the male and female protagonists are together later and I suddenly don't want to watch it. The plot of the palace fight is not delicate enough, the twists are not enough, it is very peaceful and boring, and the feeling is not unexpected enough. Without that unexpected feeling, I can often guess what is going to be written next. The villain's character design is not three-dimensional enough and is a bit intellectually depressing. I think since the villain has been able to restrain the male protagonist for so many years, there must be several brushes. These aspects are a bit superficial and need to be deepened. The author is great.
I couldn't stand it until I reached about 70-80 chapters. I felt that there were some shortcomings in writing big scenes and then some political scenes. The characters were also a bit stereotyped and the ending just jumped.
Did Queen Wei know the truth in the end?
Lu Shi is exactly like his father, paranoid and stubborn.
I'm laughing so hard, things are really changing
