This story has very little to do with the game's main plot. (It's set in a cosmic universe, so anything can happen.) There are lots of original worldbuilding details, so even if you aren't familiar with the game's lore, feel free to read. (I'll explain things!)
Avis Calu, a Ravenian whose ability to prophesy works only sometimes.
After his homeworld, Celt, was destroyed, he was rescued. Now he works as a junior meeting secretary at the Kroot branch of the Interastral Peace Corporation.
He has no grand ambitions. He just wants to live a quiet, steady life and make a little money to spend on shiny things. That's all.
Everything is fine, except that his love life isn't going too smoothly.
When the first group of nobles left Celt, he believed the nonsense in a prophecy that promised a bright future, so he forcibly shoved his boyfriend, Alexei Weil, aboard an escape ship.
Only now has he learned that the escape ship ran into a roaming Antimatter Legion not long afterward, and everyone aboard was wiped out.
Fine, my fault. I'll mourn that bastard for a few years.
It would be even better if I could find his "remains." He deserves a proper burial, after all.
But...
He found his boyfriend, but not as the deceased Alexei Weil. Instead, he found Oun, a Galaxy Ranger.
And the Antimatter Legion has arrived, too. So much for a peaceful life.
Damn it!

Before You Read:
1. This story features many original characters and locations. Everything mentioned above is original and doesn't appear in the game.
2. The outline was put together during version 2.4 and includes a lot of personal speculation. It may be revised later, but once updates begin, it likely won't change much. If anything contradicts the story later, just consider it original worldbuilding.
3. One-on-one romance, both leads are each other's first. The top doesn't appear until around Volume 2. He's not stupid, just overly trusting of his wife and easily played by him (which is basically the same as being stupid).
4. It's not that this has no connection to the game's main story. It's that it has absolutely nothing to do with it.
5. The protagonist is a Ravenian, and the top is a Pantherian. Both have some animal traits.
