Time Is Gentle

The first time the big star Sang Li meets award-winning screenwriter Lin Wei, she sweetly says, “Hello, big sister. You’re so pretty!”

Lin Wei smiles and pats her head. “Xiao Li is such a good girl.”

Sang Li is nine that year, and Lin Wei is twenty.

Many years later, after taking Lin Wei home when she’s drunk and has shed her usual cool demeanor, Sang Li pins her down on the sofa. “Big sister, I like you so much.”

The next day, she deftly ties on an apron and asks Lin Wei, “What would you like to eat? I’ll make it for you.”
