Kept Like a Darling

My new novel, Love Turned to Obsession, is now available. Come say hi~

The Marquis of Chen's heir, Rong Qingxuan, is notorious for being a spoiled wastrel: arrogant, domineering, and moody.

Later, she dreams that she is actually a cannon-fodder character in a romance tale, one who takes the heroine as a concubine and is eventually assassinated by the hero.

Rong Qingxuan scoffs at the idea. She's a female heir to a noble title, so why would she have improper intentions toward some so-called heroine?

But once she really does save a woman, the face-slapping comes fast and often.

The beauty is delicate and innocent, charming and alluring, and even throws herself into Rong Qingxuan's arms...

With a warm, fragrant beauty in her embrace, how could she not be moved?

But just as she finally falls for the beauty, the woman runs away.

When they meet again, Rong Qingxuan pins her against a wall with a cold expression and grips her chin. "A Ning, this time, you won't escape from my side again."

Shen Zhaozhao asks timidly, "W-what are you going to do?"

Rong Qingxuan: "By the will of our parents and the matchmaker's word, I'll marry you properly, with all three betrothal letters and six ceremonial gifts."

Shen Zhaozhao: "..."

Rong Qingxuan x Shen Zhaozhao
