I Somehow Became a Clinging Vine

Lin Yimo had known since childhood that her father lived off the favor her family had done for an influential person. He spent his days doing nothing but spending money and enjoying himself.

She knew this wasn't right, but there was nothing she could do about it. She could only hope that when she grew up, she would work hard and live without relying on anyone else.

But she never imagined that the day her father died unexpectedly, before she had even grown up, she would be overwhelmed by one devastating piece of news after another.

She had nothing left, and in the end, her father entrusted her to that "important person" before he died.

"You're so much older than her. You could treat her like a little sister... Or, if you take a liking to her, you could take her in as my daughter. As long as you can make sure she has a good life..."

With those few words, someone became entwined with her life forever.

When Xiang Cheng brought the girl home, he thought of her as nothing more than a little pet. He spent some money on her food, clothes, and schooling, but never gave her much thought.

But she was like a delicate, beautiful flower bud. She needed careful tending, or she would wither at the slightest neglect.

And so, little by little, casual care became devoted cherishing. He wanted to keep her close to his heart every moment, until he could no longer bear to be anywhere without her.

He thought he had gone mad. Only after turning thirty did he finally understand what it meant to get a taste of something and become hopelessly addicted.

Ten-year age gap.

Theme: Sincere love is the most moving.
