The Devil's Descent: Vanity

(I plan to turn this into a longer story, still needs work. The bottom's character will stay the same, but the top may change.)

Yumu grew up in the slums, crude and vain. It was hard to imagine he was descended from the noble Yu family. Meanwhile, Yuxi, a fake noble who was actually born in the slums, was mature and elegant.

Naturally, Yuxi was much more popular with everyone, from their parents and peers to the servants.

They treated Yumu coldly and spoke harshly to him.

Then one day, Yumu secretly overheard Yuxi talking to someone. Demons could grant any wish a person made.

Yumu had never gone to school and couldn't read a single character. With his head empty, the words gave him a crooked idea.

He released the demon and got what he wanted. Before he could even celebrate, the demon pinned him against the wall that night and said, "Master, where's my reward?"
