The Moon Shines Into the Little Forest

“You're not some shabby little white rabbit. You're the princess in my heart.”

On the surface: Sweet, obedient little white rabbit x arrogant, aloof bking bad boy

In reality: Rebellious, ruthless, violent rabbit x sweet on the surface, unhinged beast within

At 28, Gu Lisen has a happy life, a stable job, and a boyfriend.

Until one night, her boyfriend takes her to a candlelit dinner but has an urgent matter and can't take her home.

Her taxi passes an old-fashioned secondhand shop. Drawn to the ballet dress in the window, she gets out and goes inside.

When she buys the dress, she unexpectedly finds herself back at 19, on the first day of school after the college entrance exam.

Torn-up books and test papers fly through the air.

Gu Lisen folds a test paper into a paper airplane and tosses it into the sky, only to feel something firm brush against her fingertips.

“Holy crap! Someone touched Saint Xiu High's top dog!”

She turns and sees a laid-back bking boy.

The boy narrows his peach-blossom eyes. “Gu Lisen, have you had your eye on me for a long time?”

What? She's had her eye on him for a long time?

Gu Lisen feels unjustly accused. She walks up to him and whispers so only he can hear:

“Shen Xigu, do you think you're some perfect NPC everyone wants to ship? Sorry, I'm not shipping you!”

“Fine. We'll see who wins in the end!”

He turns around, and Gu Lisen sees the legendary tattoo on his back, a huge design stretching across his spine. Bold and glaring.

Saint Xiu High is the only elite school in Fangting Town, with two specialties:

One, rich kids. Two, four top dogs.

As the top dog, bking Shen Gou will play anything, except he won't play with girls.

Curly-haired Fu Gou advises him, “Young Master Shen, go find a girl!”

Mixed-race Yan Gou recommends, “I'll take you to a nightclub tonight. Pick whoever you want!”

Crying Xie Gou objects, “How can you be so clueless? Haven't you seen the tattoo on Young Master Shen's back? He's already got someone in his heart!”

No one knows his secret: the girl he likes, the one he's liked for a very long time, is tattooed on his back.

On the eve of the college entrance exam, a torrential rain pours down. Shen Xigu drives his beloved red Maybach through the storm.

Through the curtain of rain, he spots a girl crouched by the curb, her wild, untidy hair the green of a forest.

She buries her face in her knees, curled into a ball, pitiful as an abandoned kitten.

He drives on for a while, then turns back, takes an umbrella, and walks over to her, his voice lazy. “Hey, why are you sitting here instead of going home?”

The kitten looks up. Her eyes are swollen, her face streaked with something glistening and broken, mixed with blood. He can't tell if it's rain or tears.

Shen Xigu has no idea what comes over him. He crouches and wipes away the blood running down her face.

“Gu Lisen, if you don't mind, I'll take you home.”

As Gu Lisen transmigrates through time again and again, returning to her school days, she doesn't know whether she's saving Shen Xigu or being saved by him.

He says:

“Little Forest, I'm fiercely competitive. I want to win at everything. But this time, I'm willing to lose to you!”

“Little Forest, don't cry. There's no single right answer in this world. You are your own world, and I'll protect you forever.”

“Little Forest, didn't you say I was your moon? Even if everyone else abandons you, the moon will never fail to appear.”

“I don't want to be an NPC. I want to be your dog, and yours alone!”

“My princess, you don't have to fall. I'll love you with all my heart!”
