A quick plug for my next novel. I've decided to start Gu Zhu first. It's set in a modern city, with school life and a reunion, and will probably be around 200,000 words. If you're interested, check it out in my author's column! The blurb is at the very bottom.
Blurb for this novel:
This is the eighth world in which the couple from my other novel gets their happy ending. It can be read on its own and won't affect your reading experience.
Chu Qi x Heavenly Dao (I'm terrible at blurbs, so this may change)
Chu Qi used to be a guide spirit for the three thousand worlds. As a System in human terms, she had a fulfilling life every day, and considered herself the greatest, cutest, and most capable subordinate under the Heavenly Dao. But on her way back to the Heavenly Dao's abode, a gust of wind accidentally blew her away. When she woke up, she had become the Third Princess of the Pingzhou royal family.
Her frail human body had no spiritual power, and she was in danger of being sacrificed as soon as she transmigrated. To save herself, she frantically searched through the storybooks she'd read in the past for a solution. She pointed a blade at the sky, and somehow really did summon the Heavenly Dao of the small world.
She also managed to get herself listed as a candidate to join the Heavenly Dao's lineage.
The Heavenly Dao of this small world seemed to have a deep connection to her own Heavenly Dao. She followed it around like a puppy, working hard to become its most capable assistant.
But she worked a little too hard and accidentally managed to become the Heavenly Dao's Dao Companion.
Later, Chu Qi discovered that she and the Heavenly Dao weren't just marrying for the first time. They were remarrying.
Blurb for Gu Zhu:
One year, Gu Zhu happened to see an interview with a same-sex couple. For some reason, she started crying as she listened, and her mother happened to catch her while coming into the room.
Gu Zhu would always remember her mother's strange look as she asked, "What's there to cry about in the love between two crazy people?"
Crying as she answered, Gu Zhu said, "Yeah, I'm crying because they're sick."
Later, as her mother lay dying in a hospital bed, she gripped Gu Zhu's hand and asked with difficulty, "Are you cured yet?"
Gu Zhu glanced out the window at the endless rain and replied softly, "I'm a little better when it's not raining."
During the second semester of her sophomore year, a transfer student arrived at Sanhai High School. Everything about her, from head to toe, was covered in luxury brands unlike anything found in this backward little town. They say just one of the diamonds on her hair clip cost five figures.
Everyone watched, eager to see what this unusual transfer student looked like.
The good news: she was a beautiful girl.
The bad news: her grades were terrible, and people said her early romance had nearly ended in a death. She'd only come to the countryside to unwind.
After a typhoon passed through, Gu Zhu waded through the water to school. As she walked past the academic affairs office with her umbrella, she ran into the transfer student, who pointed at the water splashed onto her clothes and gave a light laugh. "Hey, beautiful, do something about this."
Bai Tan didn't make her wash the clothes or pay for them. She simply followed Gu Zhu back to her single dorm room and stayed there for the afternoon to get some peace and quiet.
She always grinned and called Gu Zhu "beautiful." "You live alone, so I bet your grades are bad and you don't have many friends either, right? Why don't we make do and be roommates?"
Later, at the opening ceremony, Gu Zhu, the top student in her grade, gave a speech as the student representative, while Bai Tan secretly took photos from below.
Later still, Bai Tan finally managed to become Gu Zhu's only roommate.
But they met in the rainy season and parted on a day of brilliant sunshine.
Bai Tan's shadow falls over a solitary bamboo, swaying in the breeze. I hold you close.

When will this book be finished? 🤔 🤔 🤔
Wow, is it passive prediction?
