The Overworked Vampire Is Still Struggling to Survive Today

Su Wangye is a vampire, the kind of handsome nocturnal creature from movies that feeds on blood.

In the usual stories, vampires are wealthy people who wear lavish formal clothes and live in castles. But not him.

When he woke from a deep sleep in his coffin, Su Wangye discovered that the world had changed. His castle had become a tourist attraction, and his only possessions were his coffin and the clothes he was wearing.

To survive, Su Wangye had no choice but to become an overworked wage slave. Since he was afraid of sunlight, he had to work night shifts.

Fortunately, night shifts paid well, and he wasn't picky about food. After several years of hard work, he had saved up a little nest egg.

Su Wangye decided to keep working like this for fifty years, then lie flat. But then he met someone.

Lu Xieyu was a domineering CEO, the extremely rich kind. One night, he happened to meet Su Wangye, who was working at a convenience store.

Lu Xieyu was attracted to Su Wangye's unyielding spirit, despite his poverty, and began pursuing him.

Lu Xieyu knew Su Wangye was poor and loved money. Fortunately, he had more than enough money to attract him.

Lu Xieyu thought Su Wangye must have fallen in love with him, because whenever he showed up, Su Wangye couldn't take his eyes off him!

Su Wangye: Don't get ahead of yourself, human.

Having once owned a castle, Su Wangye isn't in the least moved by Lu Xieyu's attempts to woo him. He's seen far more extravagant things.

But Lu Xieyu's blood smells far too tempting!

Just as humans can't resist a delicious chicken drumstick, vampires can't resist a human whose blood tastes exactly to their liking.

Reader's Guide:

1. The pairing is human CEO Lu Xieyu, the top, x vampire Su Wangye, the bottom.

2. No other characters have romantic feelings for either protagonist. No pairing swaps or reversals.

3. That's all for now. I'll add more later if needed.
