The Guide [Anthology]

---What would happen if a novel had a world corresponding to it in reality?

This is a collection of stories about worlds inside books (fictional realms) and the real world (reality realms).

[The Cage] Canary x Birdkeeper

Xie Ting thought she'd finally escaped the cage of the fictional realm. In the blink of an eye, she realized that she might, perhaps, possibly have ended up in... another indescribable cage?

[The Mirror] Fugitive x Pursuer

Xia Ran was a victim of the Peregrine Falcon. She kept moving from one fictional realm to another, possessing a kind of immortality that people longed for, but perhaps what she sought was... an end.

When she entered a new fictional realm, which seemed to be an infinite-loop world, she was sick of it and wanted to jump straight into the next one.

But the Peregrine Falcon researcher who had once sent her away appeared again. She said, "I can help you."

[Broken Rock] Beastfolk x Vampire

A new human race arrived on the continent. They possessed weapons no one had ever seen before and allied themselves with the vampires, bringing persecution upon the beastfolk.

Mu Xue was captured and thrown into the arena. She bared her sharpest fangs and claws, but there was no overcoming the technology of this new world.

At her most desperate, a strange vampire appeared, offering her a kindness she'd never encountered before.

---Beastfolk will never be slaves, unless food and lodging are included.

[RW01] Prim and Proper x Shameless Old-Timer (the central storyline running through the whole book)

The Peregrine Falcon is the crossroads between the fictional and real worlds. As the two worlds shifted, the veteran Ying Chong received orders to enter a fictional realm. This time, she wasn't there to save a character, but to take her away.

As it happened, her heart was in late autumn, or perhaps early winter, when that eccentric, prim young junior said, "I like you. Take me with you."

"..." What was she supposed to do?
