After Xu Yinshuang transmigrated into an entertainment-industry novel as a minor actress, the System assigned her a task: go from total unknown to the most hated celebrity on the internet within one month.
She was currently playing a cannon-fodder character in the new drama of an award-winning actress. Riding Shu Yuwan's coattails was her best option.
While Shu Yuwan was livestreaming for fans on set, Xu Yinshuang forced her way into the frame, clinging to her arm and calling her "Sister Shu" over and over as if they were close.
She posted a photo of a heart drawn on a milk tea cup, emphasizing that it was a special treat from "Sister Shu" just for her.
Just as she'd hoped, she landed four trending hate topics that day and received hundreds of thousands of abusive comments.

Xu Yinshuang sat in the high-end restaurant she'd earned as a System reward, scrolling through the comments with one hand and gently swirling a glass of red wine with the other. The corners of her mouth slowly curled up.
Time to fleece another sheep.
So she did everything she could to ride the coattails of every celebrity and idol who showed up on the trending charts.
Her new slogans were: "The undisputed queen of fake sweetness, the strongest vampire of them all. Sucks harder than a mosquito, harder to kill than a cockroach. Eats at everyone's table, drinks everyone's blood, wakes up every day just to leech off someone."
Xu Yinshuang thought she'd completed the task and was lying on a beach in the Maldives, soaking up the sun, when the System suddenly announced:
[Congratulations, Host, you've completed the first stage. The second stage is now unlocked: turn public opinion around within fifteen days, going from universally hated to universally adored.]
Xu Yinshuang completely lost it. "Are you trying to kill me?"
With a quick tap, she deleted her Weibo account overnight, then registered a new one and verified it.
Her first post: "Comrades, I've turned over a new leaf."
At an evening gala, Xu Yinshuang helped a rising young actress with her dress backstage, then turned around and paid for two promotional campaigns to clear her name.
Just as she was beginning to make some progress toward completing the task, Shu Yuwan suddenly came looking for her. Wearing that breathtakingly beautiful face, she asked in a cold voice, "Why are you avoiding me?"
