After dying from staying up all night, Yu Qing transmigrates into a post-apocalyptic wasteland and becomes the only Guide kept by the old Northern government, a poor soul about to be offered up to the people in power.

Before he can break out of his cage, the rebel army's artillery has already brought down the high walls.

As smoke and filth stain the walls of the Tower, bloodthirsty and savage Sentinels stride across the ruins, staring coldly at the slowly opening door.

A beautiful, frightened face appears beyond it. The pale boy's voice trembles as he says, "I... don't eat much, I'm easy to take care of, and I can soothe your minds... Please don't kill me, okay?"

That night, the victory of overthrowing the old government does not bring the usual violent celebration.

The choking smoke and strong liquor are quietly put away. The bloodstained beasts sheathe their fangs and obediently form a long line outside a makeshift tent.

All to wait for that soft hand to rest atop their spirit forms' heads, and bestow a kiss as light as moonlight:

"Good boy."

The Sentinels are tall, handsome, and dangerous, but each has their own agenda...

Some wear the mask of elegance, while possessiveness and madness churn in their eyes.

Some are untamed beasts, their slit pupils fixed on their prey like proud males declaring ownership...

In hidden corners, their throats bob as they watch with burning eyes, wishing they could take the place of the spirit form being stroked. They long to trap the boy, as soft as moonlight, in their arms with their powerful bodies and burning embrace.

They want him so badly... They want him all to themselves!

In the post-apocalyptic wasteland, pollution is rampant and mutated beasts run wild.

As the strong survive and the weak perish, the number of Guides, the only ones who can heal Sentinel minds, continues to dwindle.

As humanity sinks into despair at the end of its days, the Sentinels, like monsters, take frenzied revenge on the old government. Yet amid their mad, self-destructive battles, they glimpse the last pool of pure light in the ruins once the smoke clears.

Bright, warm, and unblemished.

The Sentinels, once so violent they wanted nothing more than to destroy themselves, gradually change their minds. They want to build Yu Qing an Eden in the apocalypse.

With flesh and blood for its foundation, and loyalty for its walls.
