The Apocalypse, but with the Stardew Valley Twins

Tong Lele is a beginner Stardew Valley player.

She picked the utterly ordinary Standard Farm, planted the parsnips every beginner grows, and was about to enjoy her first harvest.

At least, that was how it was supposed to go.

But on a sunny day with a gentle breeze, the apocalypse suddenly arrived.

After waking from their comas, some people gained special abilities. Some could resist fire, some could start fires, some could grow crops faster, some could jump incredibly high, and some could sing songs that soothed people's hearts.

When she woke up, she found Stardew Valley in her possession.

Zombies surrounded her apartment complex, communications were down, and she couldn't get in touch with the friend who had been by her side for more than a decade, ever since they met in the orphanage. All she could do for now was farm.

On the first day of farming, she missed her.

On the second day of farming, she missed her.

On the sixth day, the potatoes were ready. The baked potatoes were delicious. She missed her.

As she carried on missing her, two months passed in the real world. It was autumn in Stardew Valley, too, and Tong Lele had finally reached Farming Level 3. She had also unlocked a feature that let her invite friends to play Stardew Valley together online.
