[The sister simulator ran out of inspiration, so I changed it. I'm very sorry. Anyone who bookmarked the previous version can do as they please.]
[Before I officially start posting, I may keep switching back and forth between an older sister and a mother. If that bothers you, you can wait until the story begins.]
*
They say a mother is the opposite of adventure.
Yet Shafeier accepted a friend's invitation and played the role of a "mom" unrelated by blood to many characters in a challenge game.
[Playthrough One: Before Becoming a Legend]
Young Edward Newgate had a secret.
He'd picked up a strange woman, and she eventually became his "mom."
"Every legend has an extraordinary childhood."
"Mom" smiled as she stroked Edward's head while he shouted about wanting to become a pirate.
"But before you become a legend, you're Mom's child, Edward."
[Playthrough Two: The Eternal Kingdom]
People's dreams never end, and neither do Lingling's.
She would befriend the giants and bear children, defeat Roger and all her rivals, and build Totto Land!
And "Mom" was always the first to support her and answer her call.
"The members of the Big Mom Pirates are always yearning, always hungry. The Emperor Lingling is always greedy, never satisfied."
"Let's build an 'Eternal Kingdom' together, Lingling."
[Playthrough Three: The Day the Sun Did Not Set]
On the day the laboratory was destroyed, King remembered two things most clearly:
First, his future captain's fury.
Second, the tears of a fellow Lunarian who called herself "Mom."
Kaido was the lord of Onigashima, and King was his right hand.
And she was the "Mom" of every pirate on Onigashima.
"We don't need Nika. You're the sun for all of us, Kaido."
[Playthrough Four: The Book of Great Deeds]
On the day the God Valley battle ended, "Mom" picked up a lot of children. Shamrock was one of them.
And "Mom" said that Shamrock had a younger brother who was lost somewhere out there.
Later, not only did they find his brother, but he also came with a new little brother with a red nose!
Shamrock was so angry his nose was practically crooked!
But "Mom" just smiled and gathered him and his new brother into her arms.
"You're all my most beloved children."
"You can build a new era together."
Playthrough Five, Playthrough Six, Playthrough Seven...
Shafeier played for a very, very long time.
At last, her friend told her that only one final level remained.
If she cleared the last stage, she could win the grand prize and claim her reward!
Shafeier eagerly opened the game, only to realize something was not quite right.
She had transmigrated straight into the game!
The shadow standing beside the throne looked at her.
"You're back, 'Mom.'"
Shafeier: "..."
Transmigrating into a game was one thing, but what was she supposed to do when the game's final boss, whom she'd beaten, scolded, and gossiped about, had turned into a kid she had to look after?
Help! I'm waiting for an answer, and it's urgent!!!
And she had no idea that out on the sea, all the children she'd raised had remembered.
They had a "Mom," after all.
So.
Where was "Mom"?
*
She was the treasure of a dragon and the emperor's one and only. Her very presence made a mad Eden feel like a soft, dreamlike place.
She was a friend, a companion, an older sister, a mother.
And eventually, she was also ▇▇▇.
[Welcome to the Grand Line, a paradise for adventurers, a holy land for outlaws, and the dreamland of every pirate.]
[But remember the first rule of survival.]
[Do not disturb "Mom." ]
Content warnings:
1. The story is structured around multiple playthroughs.
2. The heroine is a gentle, motherly big-sister type who belongs to the lawful faction. She is very strong in some playthroughs and very weak in others. The story does not focus on fighting, so readers who value high combat strength should take note.
3. The premise is that she plays the role of "Mom." She loves and spoils the children. Even the villains from the original work end up being loved and doted on. There is no dog training, abuse, or discipline. This is not a strong female lead story.
4. To reiterate, if this is absolutely not your thing, please don't read it.
