Crossover: Filming Movies in the World of Classics

In the 1920s,

the American economy entered the Great Depression,

but Hollywood was entering its Golden Age.

It was the best of times for cinema.

Lorne, an unknown director who disguised herself as a man,

unfortunately transmigrated to Britain, across the Atlantic,

where all the glory and riches had nothing to do with her.

But...

Her housemate was Jack Dawson,

the office assistant she hired was Jane Eyre,

221B Baker Street was only a few streets away,

and a distant relative was named Darcy.

Her pen pal Rose said she was about to board the Titanic.

Lorne: Wait a second, this can't be right, can it???

Don't get on the ship just yet, Lorne said.

Let me make a movie with you all.

Reader's Guide:

1. This is a self-indulgent passion project. I was starving for something to read, so I wrote the story I wanted. It's a brain-off, no-logic wish-fulfillment romp.

2. It brings together all kinds of movies and classic literature, and I'll be messing with the timeline. I won't break up canon couples (like Jack and Rose, whom the author loves dearly).

3. The male lead is devoted to one woman, the supportive type. If he isn't already supportive, the female lead will turn him into one.
