An unused laboratory building, deteriorating wiring, and outdated surveillance cameras somehow concealed the killer's presence perfectly?
The police discovered that more than one person had entered the laboratory building before the victim fell...

Also: The two stories stand alone and are unrelated. The protagonists are merely characters who connect the clues.
