Wen Mu has a secret: every night at ten, he transmigrates into the pet dog of his mortal enemy.
As a dog, he can be carefree and bark at Mu Jingyao to his heart's content, venting his resentment over being bullied during the day. But there's just one problem...
As a struggling high school student, Wen Mu used to spend his spare time getting ahead by studying. Now he spends all of it cursing Mu Jingyao, who has no idea it's happening.
Wen Mu hates the feeling of his punches landing on cotton.
So each night, when he transmigrates again, he makes all kinds of ruckus to stop Mu Jingyao from studying. From barking at first to throwing tantrums and rolling around later, Wen Mu masters every trick in the book.
So much so that later, when Wen Mu stands in front of Mu Jingyao as a human, he can't help acting cute without thinking.
Wen Mu: Damn it, I've been domesticated!
Mu Jingyao: Is something wrong with this guy's brain?

Lately, Mu Jingyao has noticed something off about his puppy. His usually quiet, sweet, and adorable little dog starts bothering him in every possible way at ten each night.
At first, Mu Jingyao doesn't pay it any mind, assuming the dog is just being playful. But one day, he suddenly hears the puppy's thoughts: I really want to rip this guy's homework to shreds!
Mu Jingyao: ??? I must be ready for bed. Now I'm hearing the dog talk.
Mu Jingyao thinks he must be hallucinating, but after that, he keeps hearing a voice that doesn't belong.
Mu Jingyao gets up to pour some water. The puppy plots beside him: What if I knock this water all over his homework?
Mu Jingyao takes a shower. The puppy jumps onto the bath towel and leaves countless paw prints on it: Get filthy, get filthy! Hurry up and slip!
Mu Jingyao: Something's wrong. Nine out of ten things are wrong.
-
At some point, Mu Jingyao notices that the person who has disliked him since childhood suddenly acts inexplicably affectionate toward him now and then, often wearing a sweet, clingy expression.
It looks familiar. Mu Jingyao has seen that expression on his own dog!
Wen Mu gives him a goofy grin. A chill runs down Mu Jingyao's back as he remembers the puppy knocking over his water, tearing up his homework, and stepping all over his bath towel.
What a dog.
Mu Jingyao never connected the two things, until one day he caught the puppy clumsily tapping away at a phone with its paws when it thought he wasn't looking.
After the dog curls up in his arms and falls asleep, Mu Jingyao checks his phone and sees that the other party used his WeChat account to post this to his Moments:
I, Mu Jingyao, will be Wen Mu's dog for the rest of my life! (howling) (crawling forward in a twisted fashion) (grimacing) (running ahead) (falling to the ground) (crawling forward in a twisted fashion) (howling) (struggling to stand up) (sprinting) (drooling) (crawling ominously) (screaming) (twisting) (crawling ominously) (screaming) (twisting) (crawling ominously)
Didn't he say he was a dog? How did he suddenly turn into a monkey?
Mu Jingyao smiles and looks down at the dog in his arms. Good, it's sleeping soundly. He'll settle the score once it wakes up.
