A sequel to To You, Ginger Candy. You can understand this story even if you haven't read Ginger Candy. Happy ending. This was written before I signed a contract, so please forgive the poor writing. Female lead: a little sunshine who likes to act cute. Male lead: a huge iceberg with a slightly flirtatious side.
"Blurb"
After her beloved Zhuo Er died, Jiang Li was plagued by nightmares and sometimes suffered from hallucinations. Then one day, she saw a man who looked exactly like Zhuo Er.
Had her hallucinations really gotten this bad?
Jiang Li was stunned. But when she looked again, she realized it wasn't a hallucination.
Someone exactly like Zhuo Er was standing right in front of her, alive and well.
He glanced at her with unfamiliar eyes and said, "Excuse me."
Jiang Li's heart sank. She knew this wasn't Zhuo Er. Zhuo Er would never look at her that way.
Later, Jiang Li fell seriously ill and was hospitalized. Her best friend Yu Wen began bringing her meals, come rain or shine.
Yu Wen, who was always absent-minded, had somehow become an excellent cook in no time. Jiang Li began to suspect something was up. After a string of curious questions, Yu Wen finally admitted she'd bought the food at a restaurant.
Jiang Li believed her.
But one day, she saw Yu Wen get out of that man's car, carrying a lunchbox.
Then the man got out too and leaned against a streetlamp. He raised his head in the cold wind, his breath forming clouds of white vapor as he kept looking in her direction.
P.S. This is entirely made up and is not intended to allude to anything. Professional details were all found through Baidu. Feel free to point out any logical issues. The wealthy-family setup is fictional, so please don't overthink it. QAQ.
P.S. This is a story about the female lead transmigrating out of a book into the real world and reuniting with the male lead. His character has been adjusted a little, because saying "shit" all the time was just too silly.
