[Crossover] A Hundred Ways to Turn into a Pigeon

I've had a close friend since childhood. I watched her grow from an edgy teen into the lazy, give-up-on-everything type she is now, and then from a lazy slacker into an author who spends every day thinking up excuses to skip updates.

Normally, it wouldn't matter to me how much of a menace she was, until one day I discovered that she'd written me into her new novel without changing even a single stroke of my name.

Me: ?

So, to prevent the paranormal incident of transmigrating into an unfinished novel just because I share a name with a character, I was forced to start pestering her for updates.

But could you at least come up with a less halfhearted excuse for skipping updates?!

Things like a broken keyboard or lost drafts are at least somewhat believable.

But “a kitty suddenly crawled out of the computer screen and took over her computer, so she can't write,” or “her obsessive admirer showed up at her door, so she can't update while hiding from him” are way too halfhearted! We grew up together. Who would know better than me whether you even have an obsessive admirer? And then there's the ridiculous excuse, “Zombies appeared in my house, and to stop the zombie virus from spreading and causing the end of the world, I have to keep a close eye on them, so I can't update for a while.” Anyone hearing that would have to be an idiot.

Me: (smiling as I raise my knife) Heh, zombies, huh? I'm coming to save you right now. But if I don't see any zombies when I get there, I can't promise who this zombie-slaying knife will end up cutting. (smile)

Just some writing to get back into the swing of things. The setting is meant to be silly, so don't overthink it. I'm not thinking too hard while writing, either.

It's transmigration all over the place, and I mean really chaotic transmigration (?).

If I don't write something soon, my conscience is going to die (?).
