Cleaning House Again Today

When Le Sinian was little, doctors said he wouldn't live to see ten. When he was a teenager, they said he wouldn't live to adulthood.

On the night of his eighteenth birthday, Le Sinian had a bizarre, fantastical dream. In it, he was the protagonist's half-brother who died young. The day after his death, at the protagonist's birthday party, the Le family officially announced that he was their heir. Half a year later, his grandmother lost her mind and hurt someone. She died not long after.

Le Sinian woke up laughing in disbelief.

That night, the Le family villa.

The upper crust gathered to celebrate the young master of the Le family.

Just as Father Le led his beloved youngest son onto the stage and announced that he would keep him by his side to groom him, the villa's front doors were suddenly kicked open with a bang.

Two squads of bodyguards in black poured in and stood in neat rows on either side, straight as posts.

A young man in a suit came into view. His long black hair lifted in the breeze beneath the moonlight. He looked at them with a faint, knowing smile. "The heir? How could you leave Grandma and me out of something this important?"

"That sickly Le family's gone mad," someone complained. "He'd kick a dog just for walking past him."

The old-money crowd had never paid Le Sinian any mind.

Ever since birth, Le Sinian had seemed to be clinging to life by a thread. If the elderly Le couple hadn't loved him enough to keep him by their side and care for him so carefully, he would have died long ago. So everyone assumed the Le family's fortune would go to their youngest son, Le Feibai.

But no one expected the banquet announcing the heir to bring this sickly young man out of hiding. From then on, the entire social class knew no peace.

Please, just go home and rest!

Qi Feng happened to pass by, picked up his childhood friend, and smiled. "No need to thank me."
