*The author is making sweeping revisions, and (I also have another novel serializing on a different site. It seems I can't handle starting two at once. I'll see whether I can put this one out for a breath of fresh air sometime in June.)
*This story has a tragic ending and contains angst. The brave and the eclectic are welcome to take up the challenge.
*If you don't mind angst, I hope you'll give it a proper read for three chapters. I've put a lot of care into writing it!!
The world of Demon Slayer has no air conditioning and no cell phones.
The protagonist was born in Muzan's house. Her identity: Muzan's reserve food supply.
Oh, and Muzan is the villainous boss.
She has no supernatural powers, but there is an all-powerful Mr. D (probably). Everything in the shop was invented by Mr. D, who also lives inside the status panel.
Tsukishima Kyou is timid in everyday life, socially anxious, hopeless with directions, and has practically no life skills. But she meets her seemingly blunt and tight-lipped, yet actually adorable fellow trainee, Giyu, and Sabito, another trainee with an intense sense of justice and a powerful need for control. Then she ends up living a life full of broken arms and legs. She makes some plans now and then, but not many, and muddles through by sheer luck. Whenever a major crisis comes along, she turns calm and dependable, as if a second personality has taken over! The contrast is off the charts!
*Demon Slayer only, no other manga. I'll start another manga next time.
*Her contrasting sides and introversion begin to show in Chapter 10.
*There will be stories about lots of supporting characters.
*This is a friendship-focused story: the protagonist and supporting characters have no romantic relationships, just friendship! Of course, if you want to ship them anyway, I won't stop you. Matchmaking is human nature :) Giyu and Sabito probably won't develop a romantic relationship either, but that's still undecided. I don't mind if you quietly ship them, since I'm an eclectic reader with a huge appetite myself.
*The author's notes are free. I'll put everything I want to say in them. Feel free to read them if you like, or hide them if you don't! (They occasionally include little skits.)
*I used to update weekly. Now I'll start posting once I have the whole story drafted (hehe, I'm an author who likes to ramble).
*The events are still ongoing.
Event 1: The author will occasionally leave a question in the author's notes. Answer correctly and I'll add 3,000 words, plus a pinned shout-out.
Event 2: The first comment on each chapter will get a pinned shout-out.
Event 3: Some especially thoughtful comments will be featured and pinned.
Event 4: The first person to catch a typo will get a pinned shout-out.
(Your comments help make the story smoother for the next reader! [Heart])
*Most important of all! No matter who you are, please, please don't argue in the comments! Think before you speak, and be kind. Love you
Theme: Witnessing evil and hardship can make people braver.
